Verizon's Samsung Omnia II launching December 2 for $200 {Engadget}

Nov 20th 2009 1:11PM @Steve

I don't think resistive is a joke. It's a matter of preference. Some other factors come in to play as well..

Take Nokia's for example. A lot of people in Scandinavia wear gloves, where a capacitive touch screen just wouldn't work. It would work, but it would go something like this:

Take gloves off.
Type text message.
Put gloves on.
Repeat.

Nov 17th 2009 5:56PM Fortunately, the "with Google" on the back of the phone pretty much prevents Verizon from putting any of their junk on the device.

Netflix shipping out PS3 instant streaming discs! {Engadget}

Nov 5th 2009 3:12PM @ High : We aren't discussing XBL vs PSN?

Nobody said putting a disc in was better than not putting a disc in. What myself and Raptor are getting at is this:

The act of putting a disc in isn't that big of a deal. It is done all the time whenever you want to play anything from optical media. Raptor's point is that on top of paying for a console, broadband connection, and Netflix subscription, in order to do Netflix on an Xbox, the live membership carries a fee too.

Netflix shipping out PS3 instant streaming discs! {Engadget}

Nov 5th 2009 1:06PM What's so bad about putting a disc in to stream?

Last I checked, in order to play a game, dvd, or bluray, I had to get up, walk over to the PS3, and insert the disc?

So the joke is on you xbox fanboi..

If you don't mind jailbreaking, Backgrounder + Kirikae makes for a compelling combo.

Verizon looking to bump early termination fee to $350 on 'advanced' devices {Engadget}

Nov 4th 2009 9:34AM This is a real shame. I was dead set on leaving AT&T / the iDevice to join the Droid's, but an ETF of $350? Now I'm not so sure. Really Verizon?

C'monnnn! (Say it like the guy in the PS3 ad)

Dutch hacker seeks out jailbroken iPhones for fame and fortune {Engadget}

Nov 4th 2009 2:24AM So from what everyone is saying.. the guy kinda sounds like a douche.
