It's part of the DisplayPort 1.2 Standard. Do your research next time.

Apple stupidly rejects Tweetie 1.3 for foul language in Twitter trends {Engadget}
Mar 10th 2009 8:25PM I did break my contract, but this wasn't the only reason, either. AT&T's service is sub-par where I live, and their solution is to keep issuing service credit. That's nice of them, but at the end of the day I just want a phone that does what it's supposed to.
So I didn't break contract just because of the App Store problem. It was, however, one of the many reasons for which I switched from my iPhone.

Mar 10th 2009 4:07PM Nope. You can keep it, but if you lose your backup of the app, then goodbye it goes.
They could kill apps in future updates, I suppose. Not sure on that.

Mar 10th 2009 4:04PM I may like my Macs, but if Apple ever does something like that you can bet that I'm ditching Apple and running to Windows 7.

Mar 10th 2009 3:33PM It's things like this that really pushed me into ditching my iPhone 3G and grabbing a G1. I like Apple's computers and such, but I'm getting sick of them pulling stupid crap like this with the iPhone.
Granted, Android really hasn't taken off yet, but hopefully it does.
Apple, please stop trying to be everyone's mom. We don't need our hands held, we can manage our iPhones just fine without you stepping in and pulling shenanigans like this.
Olympus exec declares "twelve megapixels is enough" {Engadget}
Mar 9th 2009 6:27PM He's right, at least for now. When the lenses/optics/various other aspects of the camera catch up, I think then will be the time for another megapixel boost. But constantly boosting the megapixels without improving anything else will yield only a crappy image of higher resolution.
I think this is why 8MP cell phone cameras take trash pictures, even when stacked up against a bargain basement point-and-shoot. Hell, my old Pentax Optio SV's photos looked better than that of the high-megapixel cell phone cameras. (And that old thing is 4 years old, and only 5 MP)
Simply put, the industry seems to be using megapixels as a marketing term, and nothing more. Give me more megapixels when the rest of the camera has been improved.
Verizon's Touch Diamond in the wild {Engadget}
Mar 8th 2009 5:19AM I don't think the Touch Diamond can use MicroSD as RAM when it runs low on runtime memory. If it can, that'd be awesome and would totally make the lack of extra RAM a moot point. But sadly, I don't think that's the case here.
