No mms ,mandatory data plans that dont include text or picture messaging( oh I forgot, there is no picture messaging) phone bills that cost twice as much as most at&t customers pay. quit letting steve jobs run at&t so we can let some other manufactures launch some phones and maybe get even a fraction of the advertising this thing gets. actually, I agree, just get rid of it, and get steve jobs and all his restrictive high money b.s. away from at&t. at&t should be ashamed they have let this man take over there company, because he Has. and yes engadget, stop kissing his ass with all the non stop free press. the phone costs twice as much, and everything accosiated with it costs twice as much and every other company is getting the shaft by att because of it. its not twice as good. I never thought id see the day when apple dictated ma bells every move. you should be ashamed att. get a pair!

Aug 2nd 2008 3:11PM Wheres my black v9x? att hasnt helped any , all they care about is the iphone and the other manufactures should be very upset with them for not promoting there products too. moto cant sell phones that att&t orders in awefull colors with crippled features, and they cant sell phones if at&t wont launch them. when ed zander said I love my job but hate my customers, He meant the u.s.carriers. They have alot to do with motos slide.. we all know that steve jobs is calling all the shots at at&t now. its soooooooo pathetic.

Jul 2nd 2008 8:52PM Yes its about time. I also passed on the v9 because of the color and some crippled features. If they price it too high though its not going to sell even with the updates, dont blame moto. at&t picks the colors and features.

Feb 3rd 2008 11:35AM The other day my v3xx was jumping time zones, every few min while it jumped between 3g and edge. my alarm didnt go off im guessing because my phone didnt know what time it really was? anyway I was late for work, thought it was my phone, but its not doing that anymore. im in salt lake, a 3g hub.

Dec 3rd 2007 7:44AM I waited over a year for the v9, reading blogs everyday, trying to get as much info as I could. I was really excited about it. Then the hidious mahogany drops for $299 with lots of missing features and still remains today. A long time moto fan, I started looking at other brands. Not motos fault, but at&t,s In defense of the passing ed who once said, he loved his job, but hated his customers.(he meant u.s. carriers)I agree. I think moto lost a lot of fans because of the carriers. they really are the ones who control it all, fair or not.
