How would you change Windows Mobile 6.5? {Engadget}

Nov 7th 2009 2:39AM Make it stable.
Stop treating the mobile platform like it's a mini PC, and treat it like a mobile platform.
Multiple Exchange support... Seriously, how did the Pre beat Microsoft to the punch here?
The Ability to edit Office Documents is great, and powerful, but don't treat it like a gimick, it's the devices strongest selling point, because it builds on as an extension to the Microsoft Office platform. Don't treat it like a bastard child....
Be more stable.
Truely support the change of screen orientation and hardware keyboards. Don't know how many Windows Mobile devices I've seen choke on the slide out keyboard....
Have an advanced non-hidden graphic interface task manager.... I want to shut apps off every now and then... But I don't want to have to dig to do it. and I certatinly don't want to have to run an additional app to do it.
Stablility!
The phone dialer needs to be big, and easy to use. But most importantly, responsive!!!!

Yes, a pretty interface goes a long way, but stable functionality goes even further. Cause after that, I'll skin the hell out of it and make it just right for me.

Palm webOS system upgrades mandatory; hacking scene forbidden from tethering {Engadget}

Jun 15th 2009 12:02PM I wouldn't worry too much. Palm is taking forever just to send out an update just to fix the bugs that were in the Pre at launch.

Video: Apple responds to Microsoft's Laptop Hunters... with a Megan {Engadget}

May 13th 2009 1:18AM Ryan Block Tweeted this a bit ago...

The ad, doesn't really to the Microsoft Laptop Hunters Ad...

Microsoft's core part of their AD is price. Which Apple says nothing about. There only argument (in this ad) is system reliability (lack of viruses) and less frustrations (head aches).

Now, to be fair, Macs can crash, be bloated, and get viruses. Sure, alot of them don't come with the extra bloat alot of systems get installed because their manufacturer got paid to put the lousy junkware on. But this ad doesn't address that. And it doesn't respond to the underlying Microsoft argument which is PCs are cheaper than Macs...

A lot of other bloggers out there did break downs in pricing, and showed that the Laptops purchased by the hunters weren't really comparable to the Apple alternatives. That would have been a better argument, and would have been more realistic.

I'm not a Mac lover, or a Hater. I just think the Ad couldn't have been better, and actually responded to the MS ad.
