BlackBerry Storm 9530 for Verizon gets boxed {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 28th 2008 1:43PM The HTC touch (xv6900) and all the blackberries had their WIFI removed. Thats Pearl, Curve and 8800 series. I think its more than a coincidence that Verizon generally chooses to stock models of smartphones without WIFI.

Palm cooking up a CDMA Treo Pro? {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 28th 2008 10:31AM Me too.

Does anyone knwo what the touch screen is like? Is it a glass screen like other palms? or a plastic screen with a loose plastic cover for touch sensitivity (Like the Samsung i760)?

BlackBerry Storm 9530 for Verizon gets boxed {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 28th 2008 9:55AM Lol, Lets calm down people. I AM pretty surprised at this rumor that it will be a Verizon exclusive. Thats pretty odd. I cant imagine that Blackberry would really allow that. Especially since this phone has so many types of radios. Anyone know if it has a resistive or capacitive screen? Honestly, If you're going to make a phone that chould be used with your find, I would think capacitive would be a no-brainer.

Samsung i770, u810 pictured for Verizon {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 27th 2008 12:05PM Hmm, I'm loving the Specs of the i770 but hating the look. It looks quote a bit like a fisher price toy. One of the reasons I've been looking for a Winmo phone on Verizons network is that I hate their ugly OS's they throw on their phones. Now they're making the outside as ugly as the inside.

In all seriousness does anyone know the dimensions of this phone?

Theft is Bad Karma: Stop Pirating Photoshop! {Download Squad}

Aug 19th 2008 1:08PM I'm not understanding the argument here. Demanding it to be free and/ or open source (no i don't think the 2 are synonymous) is a pointless argument. They make the software they can charge anytthign they want for it.

Yes its price is astronomical. (I can't afford it nor would I) ,but I doubt Adobe would sponsor this post. It's not like its a lost sale for every pirated copy of PS.

Google lays out Android roadmap, devs scheduled to get more love {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 19th 2008 12:50PM Ive been hoping and praying that the things like the icons shown in Android are just beta ones. They have that "ages 6-60" feel that some companies try to foster. What usually happens when your aesthetics try to appeal to everyone is that they appeal to no one.

Anyone else have any inkling what "devices" are being offered besides the Dream?

The Treo Pro makes its video debut, inches towards launch {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 19th 2008 11:15AM Wow that looks terrific. Its a bit thicker than I thought it would be but its beautiful.

I wish the specs were more solid, I'm finding differing reports. My only gripe is the seemingly recessed screen, this may make it hard to tap the corners. I wonder what the battery life is like? The Weight?

None the less, welcome to 2008 Palm.
