If you already have the 3G don't be a dummy wait till next year for the real upgrade (hopefully)
If you have the 2G your 50/50 If the 3G didn't make you jump you can wait but you also are coming out of contract so It's up to you.
If you don't have an iPhone and/or don't have AT&T you are 10% likely to pay AT&T and get one but 90% more likely to ignore the hype and wait till the iPhone is available to all carriers or just get another phone

Why don't all OS makers simply call up the iPhone App makers and tell them to port all their work onto their respective OSs.
