Palm: webOS speed fix in the 'immediate future' {Engadget}

Nov 4th 2009 6:26AM I couldn't agree with you more! These comments imply the Pre is laggy, which obviously it is not. Of course, sometimes you swipe sideways in Launcher and it takes a few seconds, even though no apps are running. And sometimes you have one Card open, but when you go to open up another one, it says you have too many cards open. And occasionally, even after you close that one remaining app, it STILL says you have too many cards open. So then you have to restart it.

And that's another area that people are full of crap on saying that it takes too long. I mean sure, my old phone restarted in like thirty seconds. But that don't matter! Maybe the Pre takes longer than my computer to start up. But how dare you imply it is slow. How about scrolling when web browsing? It is fast as hell. Of course, you can't read anything because when you scroll it is just those white and grey checkered squares until it renders the site, but damn does it fly. And maybe when you're scrolling slowly it hangs up a bit. But that isn't lag, dammit. It works just fine!

AT&T sues Verizon over 'there's a map for that' ads {Engadget}

Nov 3rd 2009 4:31PM @zioncat:

If it makes you feel any better, I got the sarcasm. I'm evidently the only one.

HP Pavillion dm3t and its terrible touchpad get reviewed {Engadget}

Oct 26th 2009 7:23AM So it seems that EVERY review of any new HP computer mentions how terrible the touchpad is. How is it possible for a company to overlook something like this on all of their computers?

Verizon's anti-iPhone gets its first commercial: 'Droid Does' (update) {Engadget}

Oct 17th 2009 11:37PM @Jack
This is the argument that bothers me most. Just because they're very successful doing things one way doesn't mean that it's the best way. I hear this argument all the time whenever someone finds out I don't think the iPhone is flawless.

I mean, yeah the iPhone has thousands of apps. And when I want to check the weather, stocks, calendar , etc, instead of turning on the screen, giving a quick glance, then back in my pocket, I can open up my weather app, then close that and open up my calendar, close that , and on and on.

Verizon asks 'if the iDoesn't, what does?' {Engadget}

Oct 17th 2009 2:27PM Verizon has been just talking up their own network forever. But how else are they to convince people that are wanting for the iPhone to stay/switch?

Maybe since they've acquired Alltel they've taken up their whole 'make fun of the competion' ad campaign?

World Wide Web creator sorry for the '//' and other things that don't matter {Engadget}

Oct 15th 2009 10:50PM Amen man. I learned that like 8 years ago, and ever since then, it pains me to watch people type the w's and .com. You should have mentioned that SHIFT + ENTER makes it .net and SHIFT + CTRL + ENTER makes it .org.

Literally my most used (probably my only) keyboard shortcut.

Verizon removes gloves, begins 'There's a map for that' anti-AT&T ad campaign (video) {Engadget}

Oct 5th 2009 11:22PM If it means anything, I never had ANY problems with Verizon's customer service when I had them. The only complaints I had (and the reason I left) were that they didn't have any freaking good phones. And I'm a big phone nerd so that kind of sucked.

Rumors of a Pre-less Verizon "off base" according to analysts {Engadget}

Sep 25th 2009 11:15AM LOVE the picture. It reminds me of how much I miss vcast. And especially that web browser.

Unbagging: Joshua Topolsky {Engadget}

Aug 7th 2009 9:54PM @Kyle. I enjoy the Seinfeld reference.

Palm Touchstone torn asunder, cost to manufacturer estimated at $5 (update) {Engadget}

Jun 7th 2009 2:36PM @CL. Exactly what I think. The USB cover is tough as hell to remove, and I'm scared I'll break it. And seeing that the freaking Touchstone is this cheap, maybe they'll lower the price to something reasonable sometime soon.
