TV 101: How 'Lost' Is Like a Loveless Marriage {TV Squad}

Mar 10th 2010 10:44PM Carlton & Cuse know they're under the gun to get the ending right. Their friends & families reflect our same concerns. We're all going to stick to the end and hopefully, hopefully be wowed by their carefully and artfully engineered denouement.

My advice to maximize your enjoyment is to simply enjoy it one ep at a time, don't try to guess the ending, and don't try to theorize it -- those are the activities that lead to disappointment. Just keep an open mind and hopefully at the end we'll all simultaneously go "Wow! That was soooo cool."

Fox Gives 'Fringe' a Third Season {TV Squad}

Mar 8th 2010 9:47PM Um, Bob, don't bother, seriously. You've missed absolutely nothing. They do one mythic ep for every ten X-Files eps. Even then the mythic arc isn't compelling, it just isn't.

Fox Orders a Full 22-Episode Third Season of 'Fringe' {TV Squad}

Mar 8th 2010 9:38PM And the nine remaining fans rejoiced.

What If 'Lost' Actually Had a Theme Song (the One From 'Baywatch')? {TV Squad}

Mar 8th 2010 9:36PM That. Is. So. Funny! I love our unsolicited expressions of creativity.

'Lost' - 'Sundown' Recap {TV Squad}

Mar 4th 2010 8:14PM I too think LOST is based on a game or virtual reality metaphor, what with the Rules, the Black and White sides, and fantasy elements like Jacob's touch of charm and the Smoke Monster. The Big Reveal in the series finale would be who's playing the game...

'The Marriage Ref' Would Be Funnier Without the Celebrities {TV Squad}

Mar 1st 2010 11:43PM Just painful to watch. J Seinfeld comes back to TV with this ?! Who the #$%^ is advising him ? Kramer ?! No, this show must be cancelled and cancelled post haste, seriously. At the very least it needs to be moved off NBC and to something like Comedy Central --very, very late at night.

'Lost' - 'Lighthouse' Recap {TV Squad}

Feb 24th 2010 2:17PM I feel your pain, and I'm sure many of us feel the same. However, I think if you spend less time trying to "figure it out" - which is an exercise in frustration, if not futility - and just let the show play out and follow along for the fun of it then you'll enjoy it alot more.

Don't have ANY expectations for the finale or how things are supposed to play, just let them unfold as Carlton/Cuse write it and enjoy it for what it is -- a six year long story from the twisted/creative minds of two guys.

Why Was the Tiger Woods Speech Treated Like a Presidential Address? {TV Squad}

Feb 21st 2010 11:02AM Declaw this Tiger

I didn't watch it, and believe me it took some effort to AVOID it, and I didn't click on ANY of the post-event reporting either. However, like you, I was dismayed by all the POSITIVE attention this fraudulent philanderer has gotten.

Why hasn't he lost everything ?! He's got no integrity or character and yet he's still admired, what, for a talent he's honed since he was born ?! These very public role models must be cut down to size when they fail in their moral obligations or else we're just a nation of prostituted celebrity, and that's just one more reason we DON'T NEED for enemy nations to hate us.

Review: 'House' - '5 to 9' {TV Squad}

Feb 10th 2010 12:20PM It was an interesting concept for an episode, focusing on a day in the life of Lisa Cuddy. Things were tough for her on several fronts (baby, boyfriend, insurance contract deal, Board, House, House’s team, an evil pharmacy tech, and a lawsuit against Chase and the hospital) but she stood on principle and prevailed in all her conflicts. But didn't that strike you as a little too empowered “Enjoli Woman” ?! It'd have been a lot more believable if she lost a conflict here or there.

'Lost' - 'What Kate Does' Recap {TV Squad}

Feb 10th 2010 11:55AM I look forward to LOST, I really do, but I'm expecting more than what amounts to a filler episode. There's precious few episodes left in this series and we should be wowed by each one. It's very frustrating that Jack did not stay on point demanding to know where Dogen and The Others were from. "I was brought here like you" is not an answer.

Also, the Smoke Monster does NOT inhabit or possess people, it replicates them much as a shape-changer.

I like the new, pissed off Sawyer, too. And Miles' sarcastic quips like "I'll be in the Food Court" are priceless.
