IBM gives workers ten days to switch from Microsoft Office to Lotus Symphony - OR ELSE! {Download Squad}
Sep 16th 2009 11:26PM I work for IBM.. this is a false story.
I have used Symphony 1.3 since March... it's sweet. Bye Bye Microsoft Office.
And... as far as Notes goes.. 8.x is pretty sweet too.
VIDEO: It's Footloose with mimes... it's the 1985 Renault Alliance Convertible! {Autoblog}
Aug 25th 2009 10:47PM My first car was a 1984 Alliance DL, 5 Speed... 143,000 miles later... and about 5 clutch cables it still ran and looked very good. Although driven very hard, it looked as good the day I sold it, as the day I purchased it. And... 23 years later I saw it on the road... it rolled over 280,000 miles and the 2nd owner still takes good care of it.
If Renault / AMC had spent a little more money on engineering I probably would have purchased another one. But, by the time I was shopping other cars had passed it in fit, finish and design.

No surprise: Intel has known about Chrome OS, worked with Google on 'elements' of project {Engadget}
Jul 11th 2009 1:46AM I have one word for why you didn't see Intel listed as a Business Partner: Microsoft
Intel will play this one close to the vest. I'm sure they are playing down their involvement with GOOGLE, just the way they did when IBM was their big OS2 partner and Microsoft was the small O/S company.
Regardless, we're winners in the end.
