AT&T Navigator gets worldly with Global Edition {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 22nd 2008 10:33PM I tested AT&T Navigator US service vs TomTom Navigator 6 for PDA/Smartphones. TomTom is better in every way, except a few minor areas. A few big reasons: a) remember you need to pay additonal for a (unlimited) data link, b) you need to have access to a data link c) features a far better on TomTom which works without a data link.
For my money, it's crystal clear, TomTom Navigator is better than these Telenav services. (Or if you want to go get TomTom version 7 on xda-developers, whose members extracted the newer version 7 from the HTC Touch Diamond. I understand it's better yet.).
GPS-equipped cellphone nabs lazy New York school system employee {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 4th 2007 7:12AM I with the last two posters. "No invasion of privacy here, just a lazy worker who got caught." "Why did it take them 83 days to catch on with our taxes still paying him? . . . Also, it is wrong to falsify a time card to show hours that weren't worked."
It seems to me, the "privacy" that certain people want to protect is not so innocent, but instead they don't want people to know that they are doing something they said they were not doing or doing something they shouldn't be doing. Otherwise, what's the harm?

Yahoo to Go on Windows Mobile smartphones {Download Squad}
Oct 7th 2006 12:36PM My install of Yahoo! Go Mobile is not syncing contacts properly. It seems to be deleting a couple of contacts in Yahoo! Address Book (not on my cellphone also, thank goodness). Anyone having this problem too? Solutions? Yahoo been slow to respond.
