The Engadget Show - 002: Steve Ballmer, Droid, Nook, and new Macs {Engadget}

Oct 25th 2009 9:03PM I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but could you guys bring back the "extra small" format (approx 300 MB) m4v file, too? It was a nice quick download, and worked flawlessly on my PSP! Anywho, loved the show! :D

NTT DoCoMo might just enter the US cellphone market, MVNO graveyard wishes it luck {Engadget}

Sep 7th 2009 12:55PM As exciting as this sounds, remember how excited we all were over KDDI Mobile launching in the US! I thought that it would basically be like Helio w/ Japanese phones rather than Korean phones, but nope. It was just a bunch of Sanyo Katanas w/ Japanese firmware.

I hope that whenever the MVNO launches here, DoCoMo friggin BRINGS IT with the J phones. So far, phones from Japanese manufacturers in the US (i.e. Casio, Sanyo, Kyocera, etc; the more recent Sharp-manufactured Sidekicks being the only exception) have been pretty lackluster. *knocks on wood w/ crossed fingers*

Leica to announce new cameras on September 9th, absolute best day to stand out in the headlines {Engadget}

Sep 1st 2009 1:10PM Methinks so, too... I'm guessing that the Leica version will cost 123456x more than the Lumix, but I'm sure the body will look 123456x cooler. ;-P I soooo cannot wait for the GF1. I wonder if it'll be rebranded as the D-Lux 5 or maybe Digilux 4?

Samsung Corby sounds like a stuffed animal, is actually a cheap touchphone {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 1st 2009 12:55PM That actually doesn't look half bad! :) If the camera was a little nicer, I think that the unlocked price is totally worth it!

Wacom's nextbeat NXT-1000 hits the Japanese and European club scenes in September {Engadget}

Aug 25th 2009 12:51PM I seem to have trouble replying to your post...
Trance duo Blank & Jones named the Hercules DJ Control RMX as their Top Gadget of 2008 (you can find it in their mini interview in the DJ Mag Top 100 2008 results; they're #61)... I'd recommend just forking out the extra fifty or so bones for that rather than the Steel if you decide to go the laptop route. :)

Either that, or wait til September the 17th to see whatever it is that Pioneer seems to be teasing...

Wacom's nextbeat NXT-1000 hits the Japanese and European club scenes in September {Engadget}

Aug 25th 2009 12:47PM Are you sure that Pioneer will be releasing the CDJ-1000 mk4 that day? Those "Dawn of a new species" viral videos that Pioneer are posting almost seem to describe something that sounds not unlike the device in this article...

Sony Ericsson's W508 coming in stunning Bob Sinclar bundle {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 7th 2009 6:37PM It's too bad that Sony Ericsson never made a Daft Punk phone for the western market (DP endorsed S.E's "Premini" handset in Japan back in 2004).

Nokia Surge review {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 31st 2009 4:08PM Wait, so what'll happen if we have AT&T's $15 data plan on a dumbphone, pop out the sim, buy the Surge at full price (completely ignoring rebates, etc), and pop the sim into that? Will we be able to access the $15 dollar data, or will AT&T charge us per kb?

Fujifilm Finepix Real 3D W1 gets the hands-on treatment {Engadget}

Jul 31st 2009 3:46PM Seems like the entire Stuff.tv site is down... Hrm...
