Dec 2nd 2009 2:59PM @(Unverified) I do it rather frequently, actually.

AT&T and Verizon drop lawsuits, make nice for the holidays {Engadget}

Dec 2nd 2009 2:58PM @Farmboy Shhhh. Engadget is for AT&T-bashing only. We don't put facts into context around here.

Manufacturers redirecting R&D on declining GPS device orders? {Engadget}

Dec 2nd 2009 11:48AM @JMichels My nuvi takes literally three seconds to lock on once I pull up the map, so long as it's in the same place it was when I last turned it off (which it pretty much always is, since I only use it in the car). So no, they don't all take forever to get a signal.

Dec 2nd 2009 11:45AM @(Unverified) Why do you care about battery life? How often do you actually use your PND off the cradle? I find it hard to believe anyone actually cares that much about "real bends in roads" either; it's not like slightly jagged turns in any way cause confusion about what the turn is going to be like, and besides: higher res maps mean larger maps mean longer loading times.

Dec 2nd 2009 3:06AM My store sold a record number of PNDs this past Black Friday, so as much as Engadget is falling over itself to take every opportunity to declare the market for them dead, I just don't think that's in line with reality.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 now on sale to all at AT&T: $200 on contract {Engadget}

Nov 23rd 2009 1:00AM Being angry about other people's buying decisions is awesome. Good luck with it.

AT&T 'hits' back at Verizon's Map for That campaign with an 'ad' of its own {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 19th 2009 12:22AM I can say that I actually have used my AT&T BlackBerry to jump on the web and check something out for a friend who was on the voice line. It can be useful, and if Verizon phones can't do it, that is in fact a negative tick in the feature comparison war. I mean, why can't they do that?

AT&T's BlackBerry Bold 9700 starts shipping out to top bananas {Engadget}

Nov 17th 2009 5:02PM Compared with the Bold 9000 it's got twice the application memory (256MB up from 128), a newer OS (5.0 vs 4.6), a better camera (3.2MP up from 2.0), and a slimmer form factor (although I personally prefer the width of the 9000).

Pioneer suing Garmin over three navigation patents {Engadget}

Nov 17th 2009 12:22AM I know you're trying your hardest to beat the whole "I'm'a let you finish" thing to a bloody pulp, but I have to break the news to you that Engadget commenters already did that about two weeks ago.

Also, to be perfectly frank, I've used Google Navigator, and it's decidedly "just okay". I definitely wouldn't trade in my nuvi for it.

BlackBerry Internet Service stricken with global outages? {Engadget}

Nov 17th 2009 12:02AM My AT&T Bold 9000 has BIS, 3G and 5 bars voice, just like usual.
