Discuss: Would 'Glee' Have Worked as a Movie? {Cinematical}
Dec 31st 2009 5:28PM I'm a HUGE Glee fan, and I doubt it would have worked within a movie. Sue's role would have been greatly reduced in a movie, and we wouldn't have been able to see Jane Lynch's comic genius as much as we do in a show. Like everyone else has said, the minor characters would have barely gotten a mention. However, my favorite minor character, Brittany, would probably not have even gotten a word in edgewise in a film, seeing as how she doesn't get in too many in the show. Finally, if the movie had followed the show's storyline, the pregnancy story (which wasn't that entertaining, in my opinion) would have dominated the movie, and we would have lost many of the great minor storylines (like Kurt and the football team). I'm very glad that they decided to make it a TV show.
