Aug 17th 2009 9:24AM If anyone wants to install Windows Seven on a eeePC with 8gb SSD just shrink the installation with vLite and strip out: Speech & Native Language Support, All additional languages, Inbox & Premium Inbox games (optional, i kept them), Windows Media Center, Music & Video samples, Windows Search, Tablet PC features.
Don't cut out anything else or the installation will fail and you'll have to re-do everything from the begining. I successfully installed it on my Acer aspire one (8gb SSD) and after disabling paging file and system restore there where 2,7gb free.
PS: I upgraded the ram to 1,5gb, with only 512mb you'll have lag problems.
