Google Sync now playing nice with S60 {Engadget Mobile}

May 26th 2009 4:58PM i dont know anything about bis.

at this point m4e for google sync is not supporting syncing of mails, you can set it up on a compatible s60 device to push all contacts an calendar items.
if google at one point gives us the abbillity i would still use Nokia messaging(email.nokia.com) for syncing my mails, this is an additiniol app that is free at this point. Nokia messaging has html support in mails, m4e dosnt support html code in mails for now.
With nokia messaging you have a complete push email client for approximatally 10 compatible email accounts.(needs to be imap/pop)

i dont know any app that gives you push email contacts or calendar that dosnt continuosly run in the background connecting to a server.
in these cases both m4e or nokia messaging will keep connecting to the server constantantly.

the difference between nokia messaging and other push mail solution is that other services usally download->store->push.
nokia messaging downloads->push, so the mail is not being stored in a third party server.

HTC Magic supports Exchange, Google says Android doesn't {Engadget}

May 15th 2009 8:27AM why is there no exchange support?

Well if you are using the gphone you know by now that the contacts, emails, calendar has the possibillity to sync constantly like on a exchange account.
what protocol is there beeing used? i think exchange.
How manny exchange profiles can you have on a regular phone? 1

Just check http://www.google.com/mobile/, google has allready an exchange server availble for the iphone, all nokia s60 phone, rim, windows mobile devices.
All these phones have almost the same settings, and they sync the same content as the gphone.

I am not sure if its exchanges active sync protocoll, but if you have a service ready for synchronisation would you invest extra for another?
