Dell creates communications division for push into handheld market {Engadget}
Dec 4th 2009 9:38PM @dwboston1 I think the difference in this push is that mobile phones are actually the future, whereas PDAs and DAPs were not. Dell, like Garmin, realizes that mainstream computing will eventually converge into one device class, something much more portable than today's laptops (or even netbooks). So it's better for them to get started early.

Dec 4th 2009 9:28PM @designfabulous I agree. It seems that around 2007, Dell suddenly decided to ditch there clunky, plasticky, cheap-ass machines to go for better quality and design. Now, even their budget Inspiron line is fairly good. And when you go up to Studio and Studio XPS (and Adamo too) it's just impressive.
LA 2009: Bye-bye boxy, hello 2010 Hyundai Tucson {Autoblog}
Dec 3rd 2009 8:13PM As a Hyundai fan I'm sad to see they're going to go forward with this Fluidic Sculpture thing. The new style has random curves going in every direction! Imo their current refreshed Sonata has the best design. Clean lines with a good amount class. Of course some oldies like the outgoing Tucson and Tiburon can go, and the Elantra is rather meh, but I'd rather they be replaced with the Sonata inspiration. Then again I'm probably in the minority since even the Genesis (and Coupe) was too swoopy for me.
