Nov 4th 2009 10:22AM Using the Storm 2 as an example:
1 year equip price $250 (cost to leave Verizon after 12 months = $0)
2 year equip price $180 (cost to leave Verizon after 12 months = $230)
difference = $70 ($6/month (how much were you paying for that insurance again?))

Nov 4th 2009 9:31AM I read 4 pages of comments on BGR when this was a rumor there and now I am on page 2 of engadget.. no one has mentioned splitting the difference. It would be pretty easy to pay a little more ($75ish?) to have the phone on a one year contract instead of two. Seems like a simple solution to me. And then you can take the fancy device and get it flashed to a prepaid or virtual carrier and go balls out for $50/month or so and no contract.

Oct 20th 2009 10:58AM I was kinda excited about the storm 2. After seeing BGR fawn over motorola droid, if I was in the market for a verizon smart phone i'd be looking for the droid.
