Nov 21st 2009 9:28AM Make it cheaper and improve the build quality, it's that simple.
Sure, you can give it all sorts of great stuff, the Snapdragon platform, 32GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, a 4.3" screen and whatnot.
But it'd be a completely different phone.
Palm Pixi one step closer to free, now $25 on Amazon {Engadget}
Nov 18th 2009 1:09PM Yes, I'm still amazed by how you people consider the subsidised price the real price for the phone, and compare them as such.
Here in the Netherlands, you can get any phone for free on contract, the price of the handset depends on how expensive your contract is, so people start comparing the prices of the contracts for their full period.
An example: I got my HTC HD2 for 206 euros on a 1 year, 35 euros a month contract.
Now, I found this a much better choice than it for free on a two year 30 euros a month contract, mainly because I don't like to be stuck with the same carrier/phone for such a long period of time, but also because cost-wise, it was a lot better.
(By the way, this phone wasn't sim-locked in any way, so even though I got it on contract with one carrier, I could still switch to another, even during the period my current contract lasts.)

I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself on this site:
The Snapdragon platform does have a GPU (Imageon Z430), and it's more powerful than the SGX530 in the OMAP3 platform, and only slightly less powerful than the SGX535+ in the iPhone 3GS, it has full OpenGL ES 2.0 support, and all the other important stuff.
Just an example of it's power, Soutend developed a game specifically for the Snapdragon platform, Electopia:

Now, a bit more on-topic:
I want Flash to die as quickly as possible, but it's good to see that they're at least trying to improve it.

Nov 16th 2009 12:39PM True, those pics are gorgeous, the only smartphones that can beat that are the Idou and Omnia HD.
But apart from that, I'm not really interested in this device, my HD2 is serving me well! :D
Still, it's a great product, and it has re-established my faith in Sony Ericsson.

Nov 14th 2009 5:03AM Turn it into an HTC HD2, it's a far better GPS navigator and a far better phone overall.
HTC HD2 ripped to shreds, probably in the name of science {Engadget}
Nov 11th 2009 1:27AM Eh, it's barely noticable, great contrast, and the colours are still pretty well saturated.
*Typing this from my HTC HD2*
(Sorry, had to do it)
