Jabra STONE Bluetooth headset brings extreme noise blocking, $130 price tag {Engadget}

Oct 20th 2009 12:42PM It's great that it uses Micro-USB but since you have to use the charging base to charge the thing it really isn't any better than a proprietary cable like Jawbone uses.

AT&T's 3G MicroCell still on track for release sometime before the end of the year {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 25th 2009 10:04AM The monthly fee thing is ridiculous, you are paying for the device, you are paying for the power and Internet access, and AT&T wants to charge you for filling in the gaps of their network?

Aliph Jawbone Prime hands-on and unboxing {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 25th 2009 9:56AM Still using a proprietary charge connector I see. I like my Mk1 Jawbone but won't buy another of their products until they come up with a unit that has Micro-USB or Mini-USB for charging (like every other wireless device my family owns).

Motorola Endeavor HX1 ears-on {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 25th 2009 9:54AM I may pick one of these up to replace my Mk1 Jawbone, I like the sound quality of the Jawbone but the proprietary charge cable annoys the heck out of me.

This one looks like it uses Micro-USB which is good because that is where most manufacturers are going, right now every phone and every other BT headset in our family (I even keep a mid-range Motorola headset in my car so I have something I can use if/when the battery in the Jawbone dies and I am of course unable to charge it until I get home) uses mini-USB and it's just a simple (and inexpensive) adapter to go from mini-USB to micro-USB.

T-Mobile, Verizon set to offer Android-based Motorola phones this year {Engadget}

Jun 23rd 2009 3:23PM Hmm my G1 is my first non-Motorola cell in quite some time, I've always been happy with Moto phones (I guess unlike many here) Plus you have to give Motorola credit for being one of the first to give up on proprietary chargers/connectors and going Mini-USB (even if we did need to load a stupid driver).

As for Verizon, I don't know how they will be able to control the environment and charge extra for everything on an Android device, I guess we shall see.

TiVo coming to Time Warner Cable, potentially lots of other providers {Engadget}

Jun 22nd 2009 2:01PM TW is my local cable monopoly but I'd sooner give up TV completely than become a subscriber.

I guess I'll wait semi-patiently for DishTiVo's to come out so I can finally get HD.

Broken Steel DLC makes Fallout 3 endless on May 5 {Joystiq}

Apr 21st 2009 11:20AM I have a saved game right before making the last decision in the main quest just for this purpose.

25 things vanishing in America, part 2: The stick shift {WalletPop}

Apr 6th 2009 1:10PM I've already started researching my next car and found that both my #1 and #2 choice (Volvo V50 and Audi S4 Avant) aren't even available in the US with a manual transmission.
