Predictions for 2009? {Engadget}

Jan 1st 2009 3:36PM 1. Apple releases the iEverything, a device that is no bigger than the average human fingernail and yet does everything anybody could ever need. It promptly becomes self-aware and takes over the world while Steve Jobs, from his iHouse on the moon, laughs at humanity.

2. Microsoft manages to purchase Yahoo, which doesn't help either company. At all.

3. Sony finally admits that they made a s***load of mistakes with regard to the PS3, while Sony fanboys around the world cry.

4. Nintendo still can't manufacture the Wii to keep up with demand throughout the first half of the year until it hits saturation and sales begin to fall dramatically. Nintendo announces the Wii2, which has the same controls as the original, but features astronomical graphics power and a price to match. It is an utter failure.

5. Sprint goes out with a bang, indeed; their newly released Android phone explodes onstage at its introduction.

6. And, finally, Google and Apple merge into "Apoo" and take over every single computer on the face of the planet.

Refreshed T-Mobile Dash looks more real than ever {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 31st 2008 10:09PM I'm honestly liking the black face much more than the aluminum one... to me, it always made it look like the bottom half of the phone was much wider than the screen, and it didn't do anything for me. But honestly, this is still a "too little, too late" situation... they need to actually update this phone, and now.

Samsung's S8300 slider packs AMOLED display, 8-megapixel camera {Engadget}

Dec 29th 2008 3:11PM Looks pretty great. I'm not entirely sold on the orange back, but the rest of the phone looks pretty tasty. Here's hoping the UI can hold up... and that it makes its debut into the US market pretty soon.
