Nokia offers sneak peak at improved 2010 Symbian user interface {Engadget}

And for crying out loud, put the darn video controls in the middle of the screen and not on the bottom left.

Nokia offers sneak peak at improved 2010 Symbian user interface {Engadget}

Dec 3rd 2009 10:18AM Looks like there implemented some Maemo here. I really hope they give the user a choice when it comes to how you want the music player to show artists. I HATE that stupid album view. I just want a simple list. Dammit Nokia. Everything looked good until I saw that crap. Give us the option there of seeing a list of text or pictures!!

Nokia promises to take "Symbian user interface to a new level" in 2010, Maemo 6 in 2H {Engadget}

Dec 2nd 2009 6:33PM I don't care what Nokia does as long as they don't give up the functionality that makes S60 so great. I've said it time and time again. All they need to do to make it better is build S60 5th from the ground up, getting rid of all that double tap crap. Reorganize some of the menus again, like the settings one, less clicks to get to certain things, make things more thumb friendly, and give us multiple homescreens like the N97's. Most importantly though is a processor and enough RAM to make it all work fast and flawlessly. My Ultimate UI however would be a combo of Maemo 5 and S60 5th. Keep the functionality you get with S60 5th and add the multiple customizable homescreens, the dashboard concept (which would be utilized with the Symbian key), Maemo 5 functionality with tap and hold for certain menus, and the simplistic setup, keep the S60 menu bar at the bottom of every screen, and that's all I need.

Sprint handed customer GPS data to law enforcement over 8 million times last year {Engadget}

Dec 2nd 2009 5:51PM Good for Sprint. I could care less what they know about where I am, if I were a Sprint customer. I didn't do anything wrong, and you people who sit here and complain about this shouldn't have a problem either if you're doing nothing wrong. Help the law enforcement out in this country. You want these criminals off the streets don't you?? You want all these crooks gone right?? Then give them the tools they need to get the job done, and to keep honest people like yourself safe. I'm sick of these people who sit here and want to be safe, want these jackass criminals gone, but don't want the police, or any governing agency to have the tools necessary to make it easier and allow them to do a better job.

Nokia's 6700 slide and 7230 make up in price what they lack in excitement {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 30th 2009 9:21AM That 7230 is a sharp looking phone. Let's see how good it looks in real life.

Multifl0w project teaches Apple a thing or two about iPhone multitasking {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 30th 2009 8:03AM Apple is worried that users will keep too many apps open, effectively slowing down the entire OS, taking away one of it's major selling points. Nobody can complain about how slow the phone is if you prevent consumers from multitasking.

Engadget's Black Friday giveaway, part six: win an HTC HD2! {Engadget}

Nov 27th 2009 3:47PM I could really use this to replace my N97 lol.

Nokia N900 drops to $480 on Amazon {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 20th 2009 9:32AM You guys forgot to mention the stellar call quality, in addition to the web browser. Well, that's what PhoneArena claims at least in their review.

And Samuraisul, you make sure you can use it with your network before you buy it. I find it hard to believe you can't use this on T-Mobile USA's network, especially considering it has the 1700 band, and the beauty of a GSM carrier is that you can just switch the SIM card to whatever GSM phone you want and it will work.

XPERIA X10 hands-on: lukewarm edition (now with video!) {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 18th 2009 11:11PM Looks nice on the outside.

Nokia abandoning S60 for Maemo on future N-Series devices? {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 18th 2009 4:14PM Oh, almost forgot about that ridiculous looking three row on-screen keyboard that replicates the hardware one from the N900. Yeah, that's gotta go. Put a normal looking keyboard in there.
