AT&T tries to repair the PR damage {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 4th 2009 4:08PM It makes perfect sense as to why 1st Gen iPhones aren't getting MMS and Tethering. They're wanting us to upgrade to the 3G or 3GS, pay $10 extra dollars a month for the data plan as well as create additional traffic on their already oversubscribed network. I hate the way some of these companies think. Hey, our network is congested, let's introduce a tethering plan that'll cause even more problems for our users and what the hell, let's charge an arm and a leg for it too while we're at it. 1st increase capacity, then start selling the services to utilize the extra space. You don't introduce bandwidth killing services and then increase capacity.

Wheelman dev calls PS3 a 'pain in the ass,' Xbox a 'dumb PC' {Joystiq}
Feb 26th 2009 4:45PM I think you have that backwards. If you have a job where nothing you do seems like a pain in the ass you're probably getting paid too much. If you have a job where all you do is complain, it's likely that you're underpaid.
Crackulous is released, chaos imminent {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Feb 2nd 2009 6:39PM Theft? This is not. Theft is these developers rating their own apps extremely high only to have the person purchasing them be disappointed with the product. It's fucked up both ways. Software developers go after people who pirate their apps w/ the law, yet and still we (consumers) have no way of lawfully going after these devs that dupe users into purchasing their bullshit with fradulent reviews and other misleading practices.
I'll continue to download cracked applications and purchase the ones I like and trash the ones I don't care for. That's fair to me. Their scheme is like tipping someone before you even sit down to eat. What incentive do they have once your money is in hand and they know they don't have to give it back?

Jan 21st 2009 12:30PM There is a reason for it not to have a physical keyboard. Some people don't want them and would rather use the touchscreen. You have to cater to those people too as well as offer different products as opposed to the same ol same ol but in a different form factor.
iPhone dev asks cracker to stop, cracker says to sit on it {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jan 13th 2009 12:58PM You do know that you can test drive the car before you decide to purchase it. You cannot try the software before you buy it. You're basically taking the word of the morons who rate the app incorrectly because the icon sucks and the devs who inject good reviews into the mix to get their ratings up.
I agree with the Cracker. I've downloaded a hundred or so applications that I considered purchasing only to be disappointed by it. Luckily I had a chance to try it out before as opposed to going in blind and depending on comments by people who may have lower expectations than I do. Other applications that I tried and liked were eventually purchased.

Jul 22nd 2008 1:52PM I sent emails to the developers on 15 Jul making them aware of the issue. I hadn't heard back from everyone.
