Motorola MOTOROI demoed on video in very cozy quarters {Engadget}

Jan 19th 2010 9:36PM The guy holding the camera asked about the double tap feature and widgets on the homescreen. Nothing special...

@Chris
Does this phone have Blur? As far as I can tell, there's no Blur UI on the phone. Plus, 1) the MOTOROI will use Android 2.0, while the Blur is running on 1.5 (like the CLIQ and Backflip) and 2) Blur in Korea would have to have Cyworld, or else no one would want it.

Coalition of carriers, manufacturers settles on voice standard for LTE {Engadget}

Nov 4th 2009 7:42PM @Jeff

In the long term future, you may be right and we should be able to use data for everything including voice.

But, the LTE network for most companies won't provide full coverage for many years, especially in a huge country like the US. So, operators will still need legacy networks for users to fall back on if they are out of LTE range. I'm not sure how good Skype would work if you switched from LTE to UMTS or EDGE... (esp with the iPhone hammering AT&T's network.)

California Cool Cars regs put the kibosh on radio, cellphone, and GPS reception {Engadget}

Oct 13th 2009 6:08AM Wait, so if these "Cool Cars" interfere with cellphone reception, then people won't be able to make/receive phone calls or send/receive SMS messages. Wouldn't that make driving in CA safer as well?
