Genepax shows off water-powered fuel cell vehicle {Engadget}
Jun 15th 2008 2:30AM Finally, they took my advice. I drink water and locomotion fires shoot out my anus. I've been emailing the technicals to japanese car corps forever, as well as pleading for relief from my required carbon credit payments to the CCap n Trade lobby.
Finally ! I may be getting some relief.
PS I pretty much hate it when I get thirsty.
OSx86 Project not too happy with Psystar either {Engadget}
May 24th 2008 3:26PM It's kind of funny listening to the "offended by Psystar" crowd, as they pump out the kudos and support for Netkas, and whine about Psy's criminal enterprise...
One sort of wonders since when is making an EFI/ OSX crack, crack ,cracker jack - an admirable and ethical pusuit ?
Either both entities are ok, or neither one is.
Methinks the whining and complaining kettles are so pot black the sun can't shine through to their kernels.
Here, how about some perspective and insight into the swarthy thought processes.
" OMG ! Oh NOOOOoooooo! - I've been 'secrectly' cracking the credo out of my PC-Mapple you know what with a free scronge from Netkas, and of course I'm a pure bean counter with a heart of gold and pockets of dust. If this screws up my free maccing, I'm going to be so pissed !!! Why can't I get paid for what I'm doing ??? I hate capitalism...unless I steal OSit - err-- uhh - borrow umm-- well it's a protest against closed software..!!!"
YEAH - whatever .... Dilbert is as Dilbert does - and your splashing Dildirt upon yourselves.
Logitech's new Pure-Fi Mobile speakers do it Bluetooth style {Engadget}
May 20th 2008 12:44PM Yes, it's a wonder they're rechargeable, since rechargeable batteries have been all but yanked from the shelves of radioshack and walgreens, because it's much more lucrative to sell hundreds and hundreds of throw aways. Only the construction industry with drills and hand tools have to supply rechargeable replacements to the public.
Try to find your cordless computer rechargeable battery anymore, or any internal laptop battery, that used to be easily replaced with a set of store bought shelf rechargeables.
So, add like 75 bucks to the $150, because the rechargeables won't really be available for replacement, it will be some obscure type that "no free market capitalist public store in the entire USA carries".
Oh look at the pic, it floats in midair too !
(I'm gagging, how do we have so many who fall for every bad new hype item)
Re-Re-Launched Napster Offers 6M Songs Free of Copyright Protection {Switched.com}
May 20th 2008 12:35PM What comes to mind is the few young hotties I know that have their self worth tied up in their iPod. It seems to be a girly thing from this view, and we guys all know how the women love spending, spending, spending - let's see, that's 6 million bucks per potential at 99 cents a tune, and with memory and hardrive space increasing at a seemingly exponential rate, there might always be those few more megabytes that are just dying to suck another, and another dollar from our pockets.
Nintendo's Wii Fit gets official, set to launch in just two days {Engadget}
May 20th 2008 12:27PM Ok, so I guess that whole bit about people starving from high food prices, and everyone working two or three jobs to make ends meet is a big pile of Wii. No instead, a bunch of fatso's have to alleviate the guilt of their cushy king and queen pixellator western lifestyles with the purchase of the porta piggy workout gamer accessory.
I know, I know, it's fun to rumble and watch people take damage and get own'd as the fanatic herd does a crush18 frag move for the limited wiifit store aisle shelf with police in tow on their all night campout beat.
I'm bummed, I missed the freakshow news and yout videos and the injuries count this time... or wait... this is the 20th ... the match is almost ready to begin.
Digital Photo Urn is just too creepy to be useful {Engadget}
May 20th 2008 12:03PM It already freaks me out how people have intense love affairs with their hairy, smelly, stinking, crapping, peeing pets. The K-9 "officer" is spoken of as one of the Family, and has more rights than human citizens.
We now have draconian 3,5 and 10 year prison sentences, and whole teams of police officers to hunt down and incarcerate "animal abusers".
Then you hear so many pet owners claim they like their pets better than any human beings, and then some different social babbling professional expert claims it's because pets give unconditional love. ( I guess they've never heard of biting ).
Now these freaks who need animals more than humans, have their talking cemetary boxes. Heck, we already went through the Pet Cemetary stage, and " All Dogs Go to Heaven" propaganda.
I have no idea how many TV series are based on luvie dovie doggy and cat home videos, or this or that doggy whispering show, but ever since Jane Goodall started "oooh oooohing" like a rain forest Baboon or Primate in front of the US Congress, this trend was set in solid motion.
I believe they now have pets suing their owners, next will be a class action suit by the animals rights activists and the trial lawyers with fetishes.
The strangest thing of all is almost every one of these people eat red meat on a daily basis, which means some similar animal just got slaughtered very recently for their chow. I wonder how much these same would freak over in asia where cat and dogs are the daily chow for everyone ? They'ed probably want to slaughter the people, then pet their tiny wooden picture box, and talk to their dead best friend, and answer it's barking or mewwing.
We have too many over the edge here nowadays.
If you leave a doggie in the car lot with just a cracked window, the COPS are ready, they carry an ambient thermometer, and will break your car window, take a temp reading, confiscate your dear, dear family member (pet, for those not insane with the accepted animal husbandry issues), and you'll go to prison for three years.
Yep, I'm surprised it isn't an entire sarcophagus with intricate etchings and a Millennial Pyramid structure and afterlife water dish and treats containers.
Five Arrested in Spain for Hacking US Government Sites {Switched.com}
May 20th 2008 11:39AM Yeah, sure it was arrest for the US Governments sites. Are you just an American egotist, or a USA hater ?
"The Spanish investigation began in March after the Web page of a Spanish political party, Izquierda Unida, was disabled shortly after Spain's general election March 9." USATODAY article linked.
Did you even read the article before you splashed up your propaganda ?
Guess it doesn't matter, maybe you're an e-bot.
GPS Increasingly Found In Law Enforcement's Tool Box {Switched.com}
May 20th 2008 10:07AM It seems to me we always have these same crimes pushed in our faces over and over again. Domestic violence. Drugs. Crimes related to vehicles. Then we are told that this or that new power for police is needed, umm.. well, because... uhh, well "it works" or more often " the crime rate has so exploded we need new tools to get a grip on it" < so often we are supposed to believe that - crime apparently has continued to be in a massive explosion for the past few decades....in a never ending super massive rising tide...
So we keep making harsher laws - and lo and behold - more crimes "crop up". Now someone with just .08 alcohol level, who was driving a vehicle, is publicly labelled a murderer, since the brilliant trained masses now "know it's the very next thing that will happen" if something draconian isn't done.
Then all the internet self praising "I'm a saint" types that can't spell or form proper sentences chime in about how terrible that person is and how they would never do such a thing and what a great scourge the SUSPECT is on society...
So, of course, once again, we have the need for a new "law enforcement tool". Everything is a new "tool" nowadays, too. Have you noticed that ?
People supposedly carry around "coping tools". Police need a new tool twice a year. Tasers, gps bracelets, homeland security US citizen databases, "drunk driving total pullover everyone checkpoints", vehicle confiscation for loud music, required blood drawing, drug dogs at all US public schools, metal detectors at all schools, total gun ban areas... it goes on and on and on...
I frankly do wonder what the police used to do just a few decades ago when they didn't have all these hundreds of new tools and draconian laws... ( Oh yeah, there was this thing called common sense ).
Now, however, like I just read at the big A-lphabet network yesterday, " Joe policeman gets a 1,000 beats a minute racing heart everytime he makes a traffic stop, because you never know what might happen".
I guess that's the new MENTALity. Yeah, it's mental.
Welcome to the GPS tracking. My golly, did the article mention child molesters - I think so - I guess the 2,000 feet within any public school law wasn't working.... and everyone knows there's a child molester lurking around every corner... oh and a gun toting crazed maniac, and a soon to be killer drving citizen who just broke some traffic law, and an abusive spouse, a murderous rampaging school student, and disgruntled going postal postal worker... yeah.. the list is endless, huh.
That's why a hundred new tools aren't enough, right ?
I don't trust the crazy new draconian media freak show "COPS" playing 24/7/365 anymore, but I'm sure thousands of insane blabbering fellow citizens (and suddenly blog appearing officers and former officers) will shriek with fear that to not immediately obey the commands of an officer means " you are asking for it" and "need to be beaten or tasered" and of course, "should be wearing an ankle GPS" and "got what you deserved".
It must be too many foreigners here, all pretending they know it all, all of a sudden.
Man Tries to Ditch Cheating Wife on eBay {Switched.com}
May 20th 2008 9:42AM I note by the quoted word "sod" that the "fellow" who posted this at ebay is a Brit. I have also noted for quite some time now, that although the average Brit seems to be smarter than the average foreigner, they do have a real issue with their big smart off mouths, and with their making sure someone else is "put down" below them.
I have read and heard and interacted with Brits, and frankly like their intellects, but they do have a very large "societal caste system" chip on their shoulders - and they let it hang out like an open sore.
Angry Wife Posts Second Video On YouTube {Switched.com}
May 20th 2008 9:31AM Of course it would be cheaper just to pay her, and in her case, cheaper just to leave, but that isn't who these high society freak jobs are. BOTH of them LIVE to have what others do not, and if they don't, suddenly "they are nothing".
No it never occurs to them that nearly everyone else is "nothing" their entire lives.
For instance, she attempts to achieve a pity point by whining that one of her lawyers has required a $25,000.00 retainer. I guess it never occurs to these types that for the average Jane or Joe that's a couple years earnings, and they will never have the chance to throw away that kind of quid. Not real bright when your audience is youtube masses.
So that's how it goes. It's all about how much money you have, how many of this or that car or item or townhouse or location...
Remember she couldn't stop mentioning her NYC addy in the first vid... then she became enraged saying the guys daughter was gonig to get "her place". You see, she has self percieved "status", with her NYC millionaire's apartment.
Yeah, it's all that matters to that type, those types of people. My friend moved up in employ to CA., and a few years later he told me, "out here it's all about beating the Jones', what you have, and how much you brag about it."
So that's their deal.
Unfortunately, for them, if it gets taken away, they are still stuck with what they cannot get rid of - themselves - and it appears many have judged that factor "a problem" in this case.
I don't mind golddiggers, I don't mind hotties using what they have, but for pete sakes, have some decorum and respect. Be an adult, you know what you got into, and so do all of us. You took a chance, it was great for a while, but now the gamble went sour.
How about having the self control and respect others would appreciate ? I think that probably would show you are worthy of the undertaking that backfired. However, that, you have failed.
I don't mind the wealthy, the filthy rich, the inheritors, or the gold diggers, but don't let me catch you lying, cheating, or being so far from normal that you haven't a clue how you come off to your fellow earthlings.
People used to have public decency and decorum, without losing the storyline, with getting their point across, now we have a Jerry Springer Show societal mentality.
It's disgusting, really, because everyone of any maturity knows everyone goes through things, but it seems the plan is to be a total goof about it nowadays, instead of a respectable human being. I'm sure the man is no better.
