Mar 18th 2010 1:36PM Great news especially for me since I have a launch 360 with a 20G HDD. I can only install one game on the dumb thing because of game saves, XBLA games, and DLC. Don't think I want flash drives sticking out the front of my console though. Wonder if you could partition an external HDD with 2 16G blocks on it and attach it to the rear USB? That would be great if it worked. Any thoughts on that? Another question: what's the transfer rate on the USB ports. Off the top of my head I would think the HDD is faster so if you did put games on the external storage would load times take longer? Just wondering. Any input would be appreciated.

Dec 21st 2009 12:05PM The "ten year lifecycle" quote has to be the most misunderstood quote of all time. Sony never meant that they wouldn't release new hardware for ten years. All they meant is that the console would be viable, supported and profitable for ten years. They will release new hardware before the ten year anniversery of the PS3 or PSP. Although with the PSP it does seem like they've been "tweaking" it for a while, it's been released for a little over 4 1/2 years. Sony made a similar quote about the ps2, but I think they said 7 years for the ps2, not exactly sure about that one.
