Sep 22nd 2009 11:41AM I Completely agree. I Wanted the Hero...but i opted for the Touch Pro 2 and settled for the 6.5 Update. HTC phones feel like your actually holdin sumthin. I Swore id never buy a Touch screen only phone ever again..so im blowin texts out the water with my big ass screen and keyboard.
I can get another upgrade w/o extending my contract...but only way i use it if its on for a slide out HTC with Android..or an LG be nice

But im gonna be attatched at the hip to my Touch Pro 2 for Quite awhile...
Sprint 'about to serve up something big' {Engadget}
Sep 9th 2009 11:42PM Called sprint askin bout this add. They said to just look out for the email. Not exactly the inside scoop i was lookin for. What the guy did do however is give me a $70 service credit off top just for extending my contract. I told him i just extended when i got my TP2 and he said thats not an issue, ur contract will just expire 2 days later instead. On top of that, Me renewing my contract wit a new phone gets negated......im now eligable for a another upgrade on Oct 9th without extending my contract again....TP2 and A Hero in 30 Days..or i can hold on to my upgrade if i want

Sep 9th 2009 10:35PM Ive been with Sprint 10+ years now. If this is anything near a My Faves or a Unlimited incoming calls ill be the happiest on the planet. Considering they mentioned "Plan Based" this could also be similar to T-Mo's Loyalty plan (Which effects price).
And my Touch Pro 2 Just came in da mail Today.....Wat other great news could it be?
Sprint kicks off HTC Touch Pro2 sales at $349.99 {Engadget}
Sep 8th 2009 1:50AM Ordered mine On Sunday through Telesales. Should be here by Wednesday. Cant Wait.
Only reason i got this Instead of waitin for the HERO is cuz of the keyboard. After Havin a HTC Touch the past 2 yrs, no way will i lock myself to a touchscreen only phone again.
Palm Pre rumored to be dropping to $150 on September 8th {Engadget}
Sep 7th 2009 9:52PM You have plenty of options. Me personally, i chose the TP2 over the TOUR simply because i want both Touchscreen AND a Qwerty keyboard. I love the Blackberry feel and i can get used to the OS but i cant give up havin a Touchscreen (Thats just my opinion tho) . No Keyboard is the ONLY reason i wont get the HERO.
You can hold on to your Tour if you want. In Fact, if your Daughter can wait a lil bit, the New Blackberry Curve is Out Nov 1st Otherwise get her a Tour for herself. Aside from that, Theres the Pre, Touch Pro 2, Hero (Oct 11), As Well As the Instinct Q (Oct 11th). WebOs, Android, and WinMo(6.5 in Oct) to chose from. Thats plenty to make you forget about an IPhone.
You and your Daughter wont be able to Split 1500 Mins W/ Unlimited Data & Messaging for $129 with At&t.

Sep 7th 2009 7:51PM Not only will you miss the useability of your Tour, youre also gonna miss the price of any plan you would have on Sprint that youll get with AT&T.
The IPhone is pretty with its bright colors and scrolling icons. But People carry Blackberry Tours & Curves for a reason. The IPhone sells because its a simple phone that even Great Granma can use and the useless apps that you pay for. Its a touchscreen Phone...NEVER will it be a smartphone. AT&T would be ass out without the IPhone. Sprint, Verizon & T-Mo get by just fine without it.
