Olympus E-P2 tap keeps leaking, new viewfinder now on show {Engadget}
Oct 30th 2009 4:34PM A bit early to call something lame, given the lack of detail. What if the E-P2 also sported a tilt/swivel LCD in the back? Would this still be a slightly modified E-P1 body?

Oct 30th 2009 2:55PM @ j.d.: The E-P1 only came in silver/black and white/tan. The link goes to a page with three camera bodies. The third camera, in black, is purportedly the E-P2. Notice how the black model's flash mount is taller than the other two models.
Sky Player on Xbox 360 receives first eyes-on analysis {Engadget}
Oct 27th 2009 5:20PM "Sky Player subscriptions come free for satellite customers, and start at £15 per month for those without a dish. However, a word to the thrifty: those with a second home, or trekking to university with their Xbox in tow, might like to remember that each Sky Player account can have four PCs attched, as well as one Xbox, and those consoles and PCs needn’t be in the same household as the satellite dish."
Happy now?

They should keep it for official use.

Palm responds to NaNplayer rejection: "We are happy for it to continue life as homebrew" until APIs are complete {Engadget}
Sep 10th 2009 8:31PM Caveat: the homebrew version uses Synergy for Universal Search, the App Catalog one only search Google Contacts. This is, again, because the Synergy API used in the homebrew version is not yet approved.

Sep 10th 2009 8:29PM A fun addendum. Precentral just posted that just as NaNplayer gets rejected due to unofficial API use, the App Catalog just added gDialPro. The Google Voice app long available via homebrew is now in the App Catalog.

Controversial Palm Pre ads judged to be effective, still creepy {Engadget}
Aug 11th 2009 12:27PM The ads targeting the demographic you identified are Sprint's Now Network campaign. I find the Now Network ads compelling because I am that demographic (as are most readers of a gadget blog). These zen ads are just another front, intended to broaden awareness and keep the phone a talking point. I think they are succeeding.
Palm Pre gets upgraded to 1.0.4 (update: homebrew installs via email dead for now) {Engadget}
Jun 29th 2009 6:22PM You realize you can run the update manually, right?
Palm responds to iTunes / Pre statement, defiant and unfazed {Engadget Mobile}
Jun 17th 2009 6:53PM >> If connecting to the Pre is "broken" in a future update to iTunes I'm sure there will be a work around.
Future update? No need. Workaround's already exist: http://www.palmpreitunes.com/.
