GPS System might begin to fail in 2010, Government Accountability Office warns {Engadget}

May 19th 2009 9:48PM GPS isn't going anywhere. Almost everything the military has relies on GPS now. Bombs jets ships troops. Plus tons of consumer devices. Worst case scenario is that private companies launch satellites but I doubt it would even come to that.

T-Mobile produces official statement regarding international G1 data roaming {Engadget}

Dec 10th 2008 7:51PM Governments should not regulate much of anything. I think you have a great idea having set charges and being able to roam all over the world without extra fee's. You have the ability to get investors and start your own company. I am sure if it is such a great idea that the government should get involved you would have plenty of customers to fund such a company and would easily take customers away from the larger companies. You do have a vote with every dollar you spend to strengthen companies you believe are doing the right thing.

Maybe a warning that data roaming will be restored by such and such app allow or disallow when the device data roaming is off.
