Datel 'disappointed' by Xbox 360's unofficial memory unit lockout {Joystiq}

Oct 21st 2009 2:07PM Agreed. It's also sad how the Wii and PS3 include WiFi, and Microsoft is still making us pay $99 for it.

AT&T sues LG, Samsung, others alleging LCD price-fixing 'conspiracy' {Engadget}

Oct 21st 2009 1:09PM Can someone tell me why it's not OK in AT&T's eyes for these companies to price fix, yet it's OK for AT&T to artificially raise SMS prices? $0.25/msg is a lot more than it was in 2001, and I highly doubt a 160 byte SMS message cost more to send now. Let's not forget about blocking Google Voice, Skype VoIP, etc...

iMac line updated with 16:9 displays, quad-core Core i5 / i7 model {Engadget}

Oct 20th 2009 2:58PM I'm confused why many monitor manufacturers, and now Apple, are making 16:9 monitors the standard. Why are the 16:10 1920x1200 monitors being phased out? While it may get rid of black bars for movies, the extra pixels really help when doing practical computer work, which I'm sure people are using their computer for more than movies. Why not take advantage of the extra vertical pixels?

Sony VAIO X specs and pricing leak out -- 2.0GHz Atom, $1,499? {Engadget}

Oct 7th 2009 2:57PM Where do you get off thinking that Apple can be the only company to overcharge for nice designs and a brand name? Love it or hate it, Sony's got some awesome designs and they're allowed to charge whatever they want for it. People must be buying it or they wouldn't be making anymore.

Fox dreaming of a future where Blu-ray movies load faster, are judged by the content of their character(s) {Engadget}

Oct 1st 2009 11:38AM Bluray in a lot of ways reminds me of Vista... has great potential but is executed in all the wrong ways. Bad marketing, high price, low incentive, etc. Microsoft fixed that with Windows 7... will Bluray have a fix for us coming?

Clever iPhone app prevents calculator pR0n {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 1st 2009 11:37AM It's a disgusting abuse of power filled with hypocrisy.

With Apple's logic, Safari should be removed because there is a ton of adult content on the internet. SMS should be removed because I can type the f-word. Do I even need to mention why Apple should disable the camera according to their own logic?

I hope someone puts their foot down on Apple and does it hard.

Swag Saturday: Guitar Hero triple pack and bass pedal {Joystiq}

Sep 27th 2009 2:49PM When Travis played a drum solo 15 feet off the stage while rotating around at their summer 2009 concert.

iPhone MMS is now live! {Engadget}

Sep 25th 2009 2:17PM Being that this is a feature that should've been standard on all iPhones 3 years ago, I think Apple at least owes it to the first-gen iPhone owners to enable it on their phones too.
