Oct 30th 2009 5:49PM Finally, a sleek Android hardware with a good looking UI! The only question would be---how long until a US Carrier picks up the phone?! 2011??

Oct 20th 2009 10:55PM iCan't market like the iDevice can.
Seriously, this is the worst appealing ad since the Coming of the Storm. The only way to compete with the iDevice is for Big Red to get the HTC HD2 running Snapdragon and Android 2.0 with Sense UI. That device on the best network means AT&T playing second best carrier in the US forthe next 10 years!
iPhone MMS is now live! {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 25th 2009 2:30PM It's not a firmware or baseband update so it should not. However, if you're jailbroken, you can bypass the official carrier update by other means to get MMS. Google it. I've been successfully MMSing on my 3.0 for a week now and it works great. 4 minutes to receive an MMS is not bad. My PPC phone was faster. Can't win them all.
Lenovo's Android-powered O1 'OPhone' due next month {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 7th 2009 7:52PM Listen, before I owned a 3Gs, I had the TouchPro and the G1. WinMo 6.1 custom ROM on my TP and it was still laggy and the usability sucked even with TouchFlo. I thought the G1 would be a better answer to the iPhone and it was a disappointment. The OS is solid but it needs to be on better hardware, sadly that's not coming anytime soon. If all we see is HTC and Samsung for the hardware, it'll continue to suck.
For both WinMo and G1, the quality of apps are ways off. I have apps that duplicate all my WinMo apps and more. G1 has some decent ones like the barcode scanner and native Google apps I like. The OS is fugly and no amount of Rachel or Sense UI to clean up the nerd ugly in Android.
iPhone is not perfect. I need multitasking or apps running in parallel. I get some of that through jailbreaking but it's not the same. What I like is the usability and the amount of apps out there. Sure the camera sucks and I don't have MMS--well that sucks and there's no excuse. Regardless, it's by far the balance choice. Don't hate. It's all about what you want or willing to compromise. There's no perfect phone for everyone--that's why we still have clamshell dumbphones out there!
