Sony Ericsson confirms WinMo 6.5 isn't coming to the X1 {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 24th 2009 5:23AM I agree with NYC;someone in the company needs to be fired. Updates are ESSENTIAL in keeping not uptodate in this mobile society but keep competitive with the other mobile companies out there. By not updating the mobile OS,means that people are locked into a OS that is not that competitive. This is why most are going with Crackberries and crackphones. I refuse to get a crackphone,and still debating about a Crackberry;won't make the switch because everyone,including brothers and sisters,has a Crackberry. AND THEY CAN'T PUT THE DAMN THING DOWN!!!

XPERIA X10 hands-on: lukewarm edition (now with video!) {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 24th 2009 5:08AM Just watched the video and the guy behind the camerea doesn't know what the hell he is doing!! Plus,when scrolling,MOST PEOPLE USE THEIR FORE FINGER,NOT THEIR THUMB! HELLO!!!?? Plus with all teh background noise I couldn't understand what the hell he was saying. I'm still on the fence about getting these "smartphones". All I know is that some Pakis in the city (New York,of course) were selling the X1 for around $500. I gues I would like one,but I'm still holding off. Of course,I have at&t,so even getting one of these unlocked SE phones might be a good thing.

Federal Reserve issues new rules restricting overdraft fees on debit cards {Daily Finance}

Nov 14th 2009 11:30AM That is illegal;NO ONE SHOULD HAVE PUT YOUR PRIVATE (IE SS NUMBER) ON THE FRONT OF THAT CHECK!! Make a copy and send it to your state attorney general's office and file a complaint with the state banking agency. If it was a NA bank (ie Wachoivia,Wells Fargo,etc.) send that copy to the Controller of the Currency. Also,get your congressman/woman and senator involved;as my mother would say,the squeaky wheel gets the most grease.

Federal Reserve issues new rules restricting overdraft fees on debit cards {Daily Finance}

Nov 14th 2009 9:32AM Excuse me,but I have read the enclosures;some of it is so technically legal mumbojumbo that even I (who has some college and is a voracious reader) cannnot figure it out. Also,they also send updates with the statement,saying they are increasing fees on your accounts. This practice is legal,but it is anti-consumer. The banks are responsible for the home lending crisis that has started this "depression";and I must say,it is GREED from ALL SIDES. Meaning homeowners tought that their home will increase in value,while in reality you OVERPAID FOR A HOUSE YOU CANNOT AFFORD!!! There are people here in upstate New York that have priced their home unrealistically,meaning if you are asking $549,000 for your house,you WILL NEVER GET IT BECAUSE THE AREA CANNOT SUPPORT IT!!! Meaning,jobs are paying low middle class wages,mortgages are busting homeowners because MOST OF THIER INCOME IS GOING TO THE MORTGAGE!! My county is one of the poorest counties in New York State;I feel it should not be MY responsibility to constantly check my accounts online to see what checks or online payments have cleared. BOFA has a CAL against them (it also pertains to former Fleet Bank customers like myself) that they DID NOT REFLECT THE BANK BALANCE ONLINE VERSUS THE MONEY THAT IS IN THE ACCOUNT AT THE PRESENT WORKING DAY! And BOFA wants you to convert your paper statement to "paperless" to save the "environment". BS!!! This is another way to screw over the consumer;how can people dispute certain charges and fees if they have signed up for "paperless" statements? If it wasn't for the consumer,all these big banks would have turned out like Bear Sterns;BANKRUPT!!!

Nov 14th 2009 9:08AM I have Bank of America and since they have taken TARP money,they have been stingy in refunding overdraft fees. They now have added an extended overdraft fee of another $35 if your account is overdrawn for a week or more. They have increased fees with impunity while customers are suffering through what should have been called a depression;high unemployment,record foreclosures,and stagnant wages. Plus,since I am disabled,I won't be getting a COLA this year;go figure,the cost of groceries has steadily gone up every month,yet inflation hasn't?! I think someone is government has bee smoking too much crack!! We need to outlaw and make illegal ALL these outrageous fees,we need all big banks (Chase,BOFA,Citibank,etc.)to REFUND these insideous fees that go back one year. They also need to regulate CEO compensation; millions of dollars that area going to highly paid executives should be going BACK TO THE CONSUMER!!! When they do that,THAT WILL STIMULATE THE ECONOMY!!!!

AT&T sues Verizon over 'there's a map for that' ads {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 8th 2009 7:45AM I read on a blog somewhere (Opera,if I'm not correct) that there is a major flaw in the iphone;even if you are not online (ie using data) that the phone is STILL ONLINE using data. That is why the iphone is data intensive;it is a data hog. I'm sure apple knows all about this and is doing NOTHING to resolve this problem. That is why sometimes I cannot go online in NYC because of the iphone (ie "crackphone").

T-Mobile USA down all over the place? (update: yes) {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 7th 2009 6:03PM I have at&t and have never had these issues. at&t has 3G,t-mobile doesn't. And at&t has very good cs;many credits to my account if I have any problems. Then again,I spend big money every month. Plus at&t has rollover minutes;they don't stop rolling over even after the year is up.

Nov 6th 2009 2:54PM I have at&t and where I live in upstate New York I have BETTER reception than Verizon. You have to blame people,the environmentalists,that don't want to "disturb"their view. You people would rather put up with crappy service than have these towers fill in the holes,holes that might save lives when in trouble in rural areas,areas where I live. And at&t have been very good to me,giving me credits and resolving service issues when they arrise. Then again,I spend big money on my service every month ,so I deserve good service. And I have 3G here in upstate New York;I don't know about Verizon but I know T-Mobile certainly has no 3G coverage outside New York. You could have them!!!
