Sep 15th 2009 11:12PM It's not just a 1GHz ARM Processor. It's a 1GHZ ARM Cortex A8.

That's over twice as fast as the 1GHz ARM11 in the Snapdragon!!

And 66% faster than the iPhone 3GS or Palm Pre.

Vodafone kicks off 14.4Mbps HSDPA upgrade in UK {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 8th 2009 3:33AM This is WRONG.

Vodafone Australia supports 7.2Mbit HSPA on their 900MHz 3G network.
They support 3.6Mbps on their 2100MHz 3G network.

Telstra kills off CDMA, completes migration to GSM {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 1st 2008 3:48AM US Verizon, US Alltel, Japan's KDDI, Telecom New Zealand and Korea's KT Freetel and SK Telecom

are also in varying stages of closing their CDMA networks and switching to GSM.

Three of the above are already running their HSPA networks side-by-side. The other three are trialling LTE.

Qualcomm's preferred 4G is LTE not UWB. They own patents for both and have more to gain from rapid adoption of LTE.

UWB is only a reasonable competitor to WiMax. LTE trounces WiMax in speed, global adoption and announced carrier rollouts. It also has a strong roadmap to multi-gigabit speeds with LTE-Advanced.

Blu-Ray, HD-DVD? Nah, how about EVD instead {Engadget HD}

Mar 6th 2006 6:53PM "China never really adopted the DVD standard" ?????

Go to any chinese city and see the abundance of pirate DVDs on sale and the endless stacks of no-name chinese DVD players.

In fact, most DVD players available in the west are chinese DVD players rebadged with more familiar brands.
