I have news for you. 1-GPS can be turned on remotely on many phones. 2-AGPS is always on since the network has to know where you are.

HTC HD2 review {Engadget}
Nov 26th 2009 8:22PM Letter to HTC: Please take advantage of WinMo's unique feature. Support USB Host so we can plug in our terabyte hard drives, keyboards, cameras, etc.
The iPhone, Blackberry, Palm Pre, and Android don't support USB Host. Heck, with the exception of the Blackberry they don't even support Bluetooth HID-SPP profiles. They are years behind WinMo.

The poor video performance has nothing to do with the WM OS. Look at the Samsung Omnia II. The video is fantastic, yet it uses WinMo.
Celio REDFLY for BlackBerry tested: it's not the solution you weren't looking for anyway {Engadget}
Nov 11th 2009 11:18AM This is a cure for which there is no known disease. They should keep developing Redfly VIEWER, an app that connects your smarphone to a laptop or netbook. I'm not gonna start carrying a smartphone, a Redfly laptop AND a netbook, with all their power supplies, etc. when everything I need is a smartphone and a netbook.
How would you change Windows Mobile 6.5? {Engadget}
Nov 7th 2009 3:47PM WM is still the most flexible and powerful OS. Android, the iPhone and the Palm Pre are way behind with the same problem:

Editorial: Taking the iPhone 3GS off the job market {Engadget}
Jul 12th 2009 6:44PM About using an external keyboard:
"iPhone would likely need USB hosting capabilities for that. Not many smartphones have that ability unless they're are one of the few that still cater to their PDA roots."
All Berrys, WM and S60 can use an external keyboars. Most USB keyboards can be used with WM and the right third-party driver. Apple, on purpose (again!) crippled Bluetooth and USB. It is one of several reasons why I can't even think of using the iPhone. I don't want to have to carry a friggin 17-inch laptop all the time to get a bit of work done. Coverage is awful but this should be fixed with HSDPA/ LTE when current CDMA providers will be able to offer the iPhone. Multitasking is also a deal-breaker. Someday, the iPhone will be for everyone. Today ain't the day.
