Engadget's back to school giveaway, part 3! {Engadget}

Sep 14th 2009 1:28PM good luck everyone!

iPhone nips at Rebel XTi's heels for most popular cam on Flickr {Engadget}

Aug 18th 2009 2:05PM This certainly speaks to the fact that Camera Phones are becoming more widely available and used. The vast majority of these pictures are most likely snapshots or casual pictures, and nothing professional. I wouldn't say that the iPhone should be considered a "serious photographic tool," but rather a great convenient tool for taking decent looking snapshots.

Faster Hardware > Slower Hardware

Macs are essentially identical to PCs in the hardware they use, sans a few small exceptions such as EFI.

A Mac with faster hardware will outperform a PC with slower hardware, and a PC with faster hardware will outperform a Mac with slower hardware.

LG's phone division cooking up netbook integration, 'blooming' keyboards, and a form factor you've never seen {Engadget}

Aug 11th 2009 2:58PM Palm was ahead of their time... and sure it may have been only a year or so ahead, but that can make a difference in the tech world. If the Foleo was slightly retooled to be more capable as a stand-alone computer (like a netbook) and still have the integration with Palm phones, it'd be a great device.

DJ Hero Renegade Edition now accepting callers, lists for $199.99 {Engadget}

Unless it's a really, really, good game. For $200 it better be worth the price. Doubt it though.

Intel exec speaks the obvious: first-time buyers aren't going for netbooks {Engadget}

Jul 29th 2009 6:46PM I think there are a number of people that may be the same as you. I think a more realistic situation is that first-time *computer* buyers will not buy a netbook. I could see people who put a lot of money in a desktop buy a netbook just for the portability, but don't need lots of portable on the go.

Frustratingly long secret code enables totally useful landscape email on Pre {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 1st 2009 9:56AM The Pre's keyboard doesn't rotate, so how is this useful exactly? I don't see people typing sideways or using an onscreen keyboard. Perhaps for a future landscape-pre or full-touchscreen-pre this would be great. Please correct me if there isn't something I'm considering. In any case, nice find.
