Sony Ericsson Rachael teaser video plays with our hearts
The Motorola DROID might be at the forefront of the Android scene right now, but it looks like it's going to have some high-end competition soon -- Sony Ericsson's been hyping the Rachael / XPERIA X3 launch on November 3, and today it's put out this little teaser video. Nothing much here other than some fleeting glimpses of the handset in Luster White, but it's looking quite sharp, and if the final specs are close to the DROID's we could have a real battle on our hands -- especially since SE's crazy Android UI skin looks pretty sweet. Check the video after the break.

And the X3 will be 3Xs the price as the Driod... nice job Sony...

the x3 is going to be $600 with a 2-year contract? that seems really unlikely.

Every time SE comes out with a new piece of hdw there is someone complaining about the price before it's even announced!
I understand that their pricing might not be as competitive as others (I say this to be nice) but look at the quality of the work here.
Can you really compare Droid's looks hw&&sw wise to this?
That's probably why you pay it much less.
I don't change my mobile every month, so when I do I make sure the phone is worth buying, unless it's stupid expensive like the Iphone. Nothing against it. Just way too expensive (and all the limitations we know).
This in my opinion kicks the droid's ass hands down. Let's wait for the final specs obviously first, but meanwhile we know that this is the first very good looking android phone. Comes with 2.0 (still a bit too new, needs time to improve) with loads of nice improvements over 1.6. and with a lot of very good work on the skin too. Plus it's SE so expect good quality and good camera.
I say great job SE, very fine work here.
My 2 cents (maybe 4...)

Finally, a sleek Android hardware with a good looking UI! The only question would be---how long until a US Carrier picks up the phone?! 2011??
Safi @ Oct 30th 2009 6:03PM
This phone has to come to North America, it has to! Maybe the Secret works and it will if we all wish for it hard enough! I'm in Canada and the only way I would get access to a phone like that is to sneak an unlocked version from the US. Uuuugh! Why must you fail me so Canada?
Union @ Oct 30th 2009 7:24PM
its almost time for me to get a new phone, hopefully.
Union @ Oct 30th 2009 7:27PM
which version is everyone liking more.

Apple, make a note:
an advert can be clean and enjoyable without being cocky.
let us judge if what you make is so : Unbelievable/awesome/incredible/etc...
