HTC HD2 fulfills its unboxing obligations on video
You've already seen the HD2 that HTC would have you see, but now it's time to take the obligatory journey to the world of unboxings. Seen here in "not-yet-final" packaging, the WinMo 6.5-packin' handset looks sexier than ever, even in that still-to-be-tweaked green box. Hop on past the break and mash play if you're looking to get all sorts of jealous this morning.

This exact same phone with Android in the very near future, please.
sgrenier @ Oct 27th 2009 11:21AM
I agree with Perezaa, I don't use WinMo actualy, but just the interface I see in this video tells me that I don't want too.
Plus, Android is a great platform!

Hope HTC says "Your WISH is my Command"
Schismal @ Oct 27th 2009 11:57AM
Agreed. The leaked (and hopefully tentative) Dragon design is not nearly as attractive as the HD2.

I also would LOVE this. I haven't found a perfect Android phone for me yet, although the Moto Droid may change that. But I'm not really a physical keyboard kind of guy...

Well I have no problem with the box it comes in,you not buying the phone for the box.You buying the product inside the box. An people who would complain about how plain the box look is really lame.

i played with it 2 weeks ago : this will be my next phone. It is REALLY impressive, the capacitive multitouch 4.3" screen is gorgeous, it's powerfull and smooth, the interface looks beautifull (HTC fixed all WinMo issues with the new Sense, it is THAT good !!)... The best device to browse the web in 2009 !!!

does it have a trackball?

I have a feeling that Apple is going to move to that direction in a future iPhone.

Check your pants, just to be sure... ;)

The think that really makes this so attractive is the near edge-to-edge screen. Finally, a phone that's trying to minimise the black rim that all the other manufacturers try to make look pretty. I think this is the way all candybar (and even sliders) will end up; with a dominant screen and (probably) no front buttons at all.
I too wish there was an Android version of this...!
Andres @ Oct 27th 2009 2:07PM
Totally agree! I love the product design on this thing. Simple edge to edge screen with some minimal buttons. No bevels, no lines, no nothing, Just a screen.

why, in the name of god,is this beauty not running android........................................D:
other than that, this phone looks nice

Because some people actually like to do a desktop sync with Outlook?
paulwpark @ Nov 6th 2009 6:44PM
I was going to get a DROID this morning but after finding out that I cannot sync with Outlook and everything has to go to the "cloud," Android is no longer an option for me. I used blackberries for the last 10 years but I want a nice touch screen phone ad Storm2 just doesn't compete. When is this coming out? My contract is up and I want to replace my phone soon. First quarter of 2010? Like January?
Nathan @ Oct 28th 2009 3:01AM
Win for WinMo! Glad to see some quality hardwar being applied to my favourite OS. I've tried Android, iPhone, I am using a BlackBerry and Maemo is not out yet :( but as of now this phone looks like it'll be in my pocket whenever the time comes. I really do hope that T-Mobile ad proves true.
