TomTom car kit for iPhone will run $120

We've been waiting quite a while to hear pricing info for the much-anticipated TomTom car kit for the iPhone. The kit, which will be sold separately from the navigational iPhone app, will be available in October (that's almost now!!). While we still don't have full details on what the whole package will include, it's officially going to run you $119.95 (or 99.99 if you pay in Euros). Check out the teaser video after the break to tide you over until the awesome, GPS-infused release date is upon us.

Application and kit cost about $220.00, or, the cost of two Tom Toms.
You would have to be a total Apple tool to insist on having this waste of money/common sense in your Jetta TDi.

lol and the author sounds so excited about it too. sounds like it's WAY overpriced to me for what it does. no iPhone hate, but that price is too high.

What a joke.
You have to pay $120 for this holder and then more $$$ for the iPhone TomTom app? Wow.
On a recent trip, I compared my brothers TomTom against the voice-navigation of my Sprint HTC Touch Pro.
Sprint's voice-guided navigation AND on-screen display was clearly better than the TomTom.
Also, the awesome voice-guided navigation is included in Sprint's unlimited data plans...less cost AND no extra fees like ATT!
And i's not like this is new.....for those in the know, the Sprint voice-guided navigation has been around, and well regarded, for some time now.

Ok the price is high for the car kit, but you DON'T NEED TOM TOM FOR THIS TO WORK you can use the navigon app or copilot if you like....

if this thing comes with the software for the iphone it wont be that bad of a purchase actually. But if its $120 for just the holder then that's crap
