So, we got this little guy in the mail today and naturally cracked it right out of its box. We have to say, we're impressed with the feel of the phone and the general responsiveness of the touchscreen, though the software seems to be biting off a lot more than it can chew when it comes to getting around. We noticed more than our fair share of lag when jumping from screen to screen, but there were times when the Instinct HD actually felt really snappy. We still can't say you'd be justified in dropping
a cool $249.99 on this phone (especially with choices like the
Pre,
Hero,
Tour, and forthcoming
Pixi), but if you're an Instinct enthusiast, the photos below should get you properly hot and bothered.

what OS does this phone use? is it just a proprietary Samsung OS or what? cause it's pretty impressive if it is.

I have monstrous hands and that tiny keyboard on the Pre was a non-starter for me.

I'm taking mine back. The phone has a major battery glitch. It wont charge to 100% and if you turn on the camera the battery dies in less than 5 min. I took 5 pictures and you coould see the battery just drain. I went from 90% to 50% in less than 5 min. The wi fi is trash. I couldnt get it to connect to anything. Looked on some boards and a few other people have the same issues mostly the battery is a common thing. Pandora doesnt work on it nor does any other sprint apps i had on my old instinct. Do not get this phone until they fix these issues mostly the battery or you'll be pissed like me. I think i'll break my contract and get a iphone. Sprint releases phones and gives up on it a day after release with no major updates or new apps since they have another phone rolling out a week after you just bought it. Look at the palm. The price on that thing is dropping like flies.

LOL...so I'm cursed. I've spent approximately 3 hours(including today) talking to Sprint Customer Service over the last 2 months regarding me losing my eligibility for 2 year upgrade due to an issue at the warehouse when someone incorrectly processed a return handset. Well I talked to Telesales again for like 45 mins today, the day after the Instinct HD launched. I finally got them to reset my 2 yr eligibility status. First thing, let me tell you I've been waiting for the "M850" "Samsung Dash" "Instinct Deuce" or whatever you want to call it for the last 5 months. I started thinking to myself "WOOHOO, I'll be able to get the phone from Best Buy now! For $200 out the door insted of the $250 after $100 rebate Sprint wanted!" I went to Best Buy, waited to talk to a rep, just to find out...Best Buy doesn't sell Sprint phones in Washington State.....So......I'm stuck waiting for Oct 11 because Sprint doesn't have anyone in Washington state who sells Instinct HDs yet, checked other Best Buy stores, and the local corporate Sprint stores, and asked Telesales(they never even heard of the Instinct HD). You think when they agreed to a exclusivity period with Best Buy they would think of including the whole USA being that Best Buy Mobile doesnt serve Sprint to the whole country. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get an Instinct HD without having to wait till OCT 11? And I'm not driving 5 hours to get to a different state who Best Buy does sell them in.
