Motorola's developed an unusual reputation for "flip" Bluetooth headsets, most recently with the
MOTOPURE H15 -- and if you're into that sort of thing, pay attention, because they've got another one coming down the pike. The H17 becomes Moto's smallest flip headset (we doubt anyone else is even competing for that title), measuring 54 x 17 x 10mm when open with
CrystalTalk, voice prompts, multiple ear bud options, micro USB charging, and a power toggle controlled by the action of the flip. We'd still take an
HX1 before this, but if you're game, it should be available by the end of the month.

I had a H15 until the battery died. Best headset I have used with one exception: the battery life was very short compared to others. Does anybody have the specs in this new H17?

Oh come on... Moto already shamed the industry by leading the flip phone era for people who take some cool sense of pride by playing with a useless flip gimmick. Now they're going to take headsets there too? Imagine some idiot keeping this thing stuck in his ear all day, then opening and closing it with that goofy smile on his face every time someone dials his wrong number.

I has Motorola H790 is so elegant and so slim. It's matching combine with Motorola Aura. I call Motorola H790 is Motorola Ear Razr.

saw this at an ATT store, you can wear it in ear or over the ear because of the in box buds - pretty cool.

I am really glad that Motorola is continuing to refine its great line of flip BT headsets. I have the H15 and love it for its functionality, but its ergonomics are not quite up to snuff. I like to use this in my office so that I can keep it sitting on my desk all day closed and then when a call come in I can flip it open, but it on my ear and take the call. I then gernerally remove it after the call is over. The closed mode serves two great purposes--first, it does save battery power/life; second, it give you the option to pick up your phone and answer the call without usiing the BT headset if the call so warrants.
I plan to go to the AT&T store today and get mine.
And I encourage Motorola to keep refining the flip BT design.

I got the H17 last night and I love it! It is an order of magnitude better than the H15. It fits better and closer to your face. It is smaller and lighter so tat you can use it with just the earbuds and without the hook. That makes it real easy to filp it oepn and fit it in your ear to get an incoming call. (With the H15, I needed to wear it with the hook; thus always had to struggle to get the hook around my ear to receive an incoming call.) And also this earbud connects almost instantly to the incoming call when you flip it open. And the intitial pairing process is so very easy with the voice prompts. That will really help peeps new to Bluetooth who might otherwise fell a lottile intimidated by pairing.
So if you like the flip to open form fot the reasons that I stated in my earlier post, I highly recommend the H17.
