Sprint kicks off HTC Touch Pro2 sales at $349.99
So, any luck socking away $350 worth crisp, unmarked, non-sequential US currency over the past week since the Touch Pro2 was officially announced for Sprint? If so, we'd just like to offer a friendly reminder that you can now head over to Sprint's online store to place your order -- and yes, that $349.99 you'll be shelling out is after rebate and discount on a new two-year contract. Being second doesn't come cheap, it seems.

It looks like you can get it at Verizon Wireless for 199.00. I think they are going to have to lover the price...

How does it make any sense that this costs $350 and the Hero costs $180? Do they even want anybody to buy this phone?

It makes sense if your like me and on an older Sprint SERO plan... $35/month 500 minutes + unlimited data and text... no one can touch that. period. Sure I could pay less for the phone on Verizon, but I'm very happy to get locked into my plan for 2 more years and use my upgrade on this device

overall it seems like a better deal to me. even though you may have to pay more for the phone, add in the plan you have to have an you may come out spending less with a sprint. if you save lets say 20 bucks a month... in 2 years that's 480 bucks. you practically paid for your phone in savings.

The only way (and even this is weak) I can see the justification for the higher price is that they plan (and actually will) roll out Windows Mobile 6.5 to this phone, a move that is always "rumored" but almost never actually done on Verizon phones.
If that is not the case, I can't understand why anybody would buy a Windows Mobile 6.1 device at this juncture, especially on a 528 Mhz device that will almost certainly feel laggy with TouchFlo running, and certainly not at this premium. This phone will almost certainly drop in price "in time for the holidays"

Admit it people, Sprint has absolutely ZERO common sense. I mean, they launch the Touch Pro2 for $349.99 this morning, yet the Touch Pro is still available on their site for $299.99. Ha, that's the stupidest thing I've ever seen....other than their Pre commercials...since when is multi-tasking "revolutionary"?

I agree and I have been a sprint customer for over 10yrs now...

the tp2 isnt out for vzw..... that is the first one up on their website........

Yes more people will buy it at 199 but windows mobile is not for everyone and maybe (I SAID MAYBE!!) a higher priced phone will keep returns down
Also what difference does it make.. If you want sprint then buy it and vice-versa the carriers don't care about you. Each one has its pros and cons.... all you have to do is look at those and make a damn decision and if it works for you then buy it and shut the **** up
Don't be a fanboy or girl because ultimately they always miss out on a good product by a competitor regardless of who your a fanboy off.
