HTC's Leo-bound TouchFlo 3D 2.6 lovingly demonstrated
No, that's not a Hero up there. That's an image of the latest version of HTC's TouchFlo 3D, destined for inclusion on the company's next Windows Mobile smartphone -- likely the fabled Leo we've been hearing about oh so much over the past few days. pocketnow.com has posted a walkthrough of the the UI, which looks lovely and clean and is a solid step up over previous revisions. It even runs quite well on this Touch Diamond2 it's been installed to, meaning performance should be incredibly snappy on the Leo if its hardware is as solid as is rumored. There's still no confirmation from HTC about any new hardware, but until that comes (it shouldn't be long, now) you can enjoy the enthusiastic video after the break.

I don't like the fact they've colorized the bottom row of icons. It looks ugly.
The home screen looks a little cluttered too.
But other than that some nice additions. Wonder if i'll be able to stick it on my touch-pro2

Obviously they try to make Android and WinMo grow together in terms of design... But I would've preferred it if they had stayed with the black and white and transported it to Android than what they're doing now...

This version looks amazing but its alomost a waste of time with microsoft upgrading their own interface for windows 6.5 and windows 7 touch flow and any other ui skin for windows wont be needed. Im definately putting this on my sprint touch pro 2 next month.

If there is one thing I would like to change about TouchFlo 3D, it is how the Weather Application acts. If you live in or near a major city, you're fine. But if you live out in the middle of nowhere, you can only view the weather of the closest major city to you. This wasn't a problem in SPB Mobile Shell 3; as you could view the weather by zip code ... no matter WHERE you lived. I wish they changed that about TouchFlo 3D.
