Texting makes kids dumb -- science fact!
Ready for your daily dose of wildly speculative extrapolation and unfounded fear-mongering? Predictive texting is the latest suspect in the ongoing war against things that make children dumb. A new study from Australia's Monash University has shown that predictive texters finish their exams faster and with more errors than others, because of course, when your mobile finishes your words in a text, you expect it to finish your sentences in a test. We jest, and there may be a sliver of truth to this contention, but let's be forthright here -- you could probably do more damage to your brain with a good night's alcohol intake than you can with a lifetime of texting.

not really, it just happens that most texters are dumb people which over shadow the smart multitaskers who can text and drive/walk at the same time and not get into a crash or fall into a man hole.
i use t9, know where all the keys are i have perfect spelling and i look to read the message before i send at stop lights or with 1 quick glance.

I see where this going but you can't blame a feature, or really a setting, on kids rushing through tests...
t9 is a convenience, are we gonna blame drive-thru windows for people getting fat?
People are always trying to blame something else for their incompetence, just face the facts! Blame you're kids poor studying skills or test taking strategies* for the bad grades, not the way they text.
*Ok some people have really bad test anxiety and I understand that. It's happens to me on finals(I think it happens to everyone now and then). So i'm not talking to those individuals, I really mean no disrespect in any way.
