AT&T's new 'Viva Mexico' plan serves up bucket of minutes
If you find yourself frequently dialing Guadalajara, Chihuahua, or La Paz, you might take a gander at a newly-introduced calling plan from AT&T that's offering a package of features custom-tailored to the needs of the carrier's largest long-distance destination. The so-called "Viva Mexico" plan bundles 1,000 anytime minutes for use in the US and Mexico, a total annihilation of international long-distance charges, and the ability to benefit from rollover on the Mexico-friendly minutes. This all only applies to voice -- messaging and data are still on the hook for international fees -- but if voice is your thing, it's might be worth the $54.99 AT&T is commanding for individual plans (or $84.99 for two lines on a family plan).

i wish they added more countries like METRO PCS that would be nice. My brother switched because he could have unlimited calling to USA and international for $45 thats unheard of.

Thats a good deal but this is the big 3 out of them the one plan I like the most is the sprint mexico plan that gives you free minutes to landlines in select borders and anywhere else in mexico landline 5 cents a minute. I mean your minutes will get deducted like regular minutes but at night or weekends you can talk all you want for free to those select border cities.
Now the sprint mexico plan is $5 a month and is outgoing minutes I guess it all depends on your needs if you call from mexico or if you dial to mexico. Good thing i have another line when i travel to mexico which is nextel so I use the unlimited international direct connect for $10 a month so i can chirp until i go deaf in any city in mexico for only those $10 a month. Anyways at least att is steeping up their Mexico plans it sounds a good.

Isn't La Paz in Bolivia?

There is a La Paz in Bolivia and a La Paz in Baja California Sur state in Mexico. The La Paz in Mexico is about 45-60 miles north of Los Cabos.

That description isn't correct. It's not a normal plan with 1000 anytime minutes added, it is a regular anytime minute plan with only 1000 night and weekend minutes. and of the minutes can be used to or from Mexico.
