HTML, i thought that at first too, but it would probably cost more in hardware to support android than making a crappy os on cheap slow hardware, least thats my guess. duse any one know the specks? like processors and stuff, could it even support android. if it could, couldn't you just flash it to android (i dont know if that is the right terminology) but i bet some one with any android knowledge could do it, if the hardware could support it, and if that could be dune that would be a nice price for a unlocked android phone. also do you think this "proprietory" OS would count as a smart phone on cheap networks?
