So, I imagine, according to Sprint, this is a success? But to Palm? It certainly seems like a start. However, I'd like to know how many people daily/weekly are picking up the Pre from within Sprint, and how many are coming from other carriers outside of Sprint.

If Palm doesn't make the SDK public soon, and I don't care what shape it's in, then it's going to be the App Store all over again. A select few get in early and get big downloads because, well, there aren't many apps available. Then later the developer floodgates open and you have to be ten times better than the early apps.
No thanks Palm. This developer isn't going to play that game.

Who needs Apple fanboys, its 2 near-broke companies with a phone which was outsold the first weekend by about 10 times by Apple, on the nations 3rd carrier who lose 1+ million contracts per quarter.
anyone with half a brain knows that Sprint and Palm are the ones who have EVERYTHING to prove to the market coming from being the jokes. App downloads mean very little to either company's survival
