That was my thought exactly. It sounds (bad pun) like what they did was give the bone conduction fo the Q7 an "off" button. I remember that early reviews on the test Q7's that went out were mediocre - at best - in terms of sound. I'll be that Moto has set this up to use a regular mic unless the ambient noise gets too high - then you can switch to the bone conduction thing. It reads through sensing the vibrations in your ear canal - as opposed to along your cheek bone a la the Jawbones.
