i don't really think they are desperate un any ways :-D the 5800 is selling as much as the iphone since it's out and it's only their first trial, they'll soon have half a dozen touchscreen devices... They don't want android because they wants to promote their own online apps and not competition. OVI promises are great ! I can't wait next month to get an n97 and the launch of their online services !!
From my point of view (and i know really well winmo, symbian, the iphone and android - i only lack blackberry knowledge) this brand has a real value making full featured quality - a word samsung, lg and htc should learn - phones. They may not be the sexiest ones out there, but they are definitly the best compromise between features, reliability, efficiency and quality. Their two main problems are their marketing department, if it even exists, and their interfaces design center even if thing are being solved there.
