Why can't Nokia simply use Android on their devices and get on with it? What's their point in absolutely having to own the software?
Android is open-source and free, so Nokia should just improve on it and customize it. It's not GPL3 Gnu, so they can take it, customize it, improve it and not share their improvements with competitors.
