New Pre Classic emulator video shows off 3D gaming prowess
The last time we saw the Pre's Classic Palm OS emulator in action, we had a few lingering questions in our mind, chief among them being how well can it game? From the looks of this latest video, released by Motion Apps to answer that very question, pretty well so far. In addition to confirming sound support for the latest build, we also get a brief glimpse of the software handling 3D driver GTS World Racer. Of course, seeing this makes us even more curious about the gaming potential for the native webOS, but alas, we're in the cold there. In the meantime, check out some classic 3D racing in the video after the break.

Given the processor, i'm not impressed that Pre can run emulated 3D Palm games. 3D was never a strength of Palm hardware, and given the very business-centric focus of the company, it was nothing you'd expect them to focus on. It's still not.
That's not to say i wouldn't mind a game like Super Monkey Ball on Pre, but i'm not expecting 3D games to be a highlight of the device as they are on the iPhone.

And who are you??

i personally dont see why people really need the Pre to play games. i know i dont need it to play games. i have more than enough devices that are more than capable of playing games on the go and i barely even play games on them (PSP, DS, Zune, Treo). sure i'll take a Solitaire or Bejeweled but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't have it.
(and this is obviously all my opinion)

ZING! ;)
@Aoi
I actually half agree with you..
Palm were known for their business centric-ness (if there is such a word :) in the day, but when you see how many games have been sold for the iphone, palm would be a bit silly not to try and do a bit of pushing for games, if they don't it would be Pro that apple has against them, at the end of the day, you might buy a car that can do 0-100 in 6 seconds, but assuming you're a law abiding person, you'll probably never get to use it, its just kinda nice to know it can :)

does anyone know if the Pre will come in a GSM version?
Possibly 3G US?

Can a Euro GSM Pre be brought to the US to run on ATT? That is what I am interested in.
