Nokia's 5800 XpressMusic bundled with Shure SE210 earphones in Hong Kong
As you can probably tell from the naming convention used on Nokia's 5800 XpressMusic, this here phone was designed with music playback in mind. Shocking, we know. That being the case, we're not surprised to see this here Nokia / Shure bundle surface in Hong Kong, and honestly, we're a little surprised it took this long. The special edition kit will come packaged with one handset and one set of Shure SE210 earphones, and it's expected to go on sale today for around $620. Too bad you'll have to jet to Hong Kong and drop by the currency conversion joint to actually snag one.

"we're a little surprised it took this long"
WTF? The 5800 has been on sale for 3 weeks maximum...

I believe they mean some sort of bundling of high end earphones w/ music-based phones. Not necessarily the 5800.
Truthfully the 5800's earphones are standard junk.
However, if you're plunking down cash for a phone like this & don't already have quality earphones I'd be surprised.
The 5800 is a nice music player & the jacket images are pretty sizable. However, I've only listened to music through bluetooth headphones. Would probably only used cabled when I'm on a plane.

Sounds like a gimmick to me

Gum deem? ("So good?" for a rough translation)
ToniCipriani @ Dec 19th 2008 8:35PM
The rough translation can also very well mean "so what?"...

wow, that's pretty cool, finally they acknowledged that the earphones that normally come with phones are crap.

What is with TotTom Navigation Software ? It´s possible to run it on the Nokia5800 ?

I don't know Chinese, but it seems that this bundle comes with a 16GB microSD card too. That makes the package a bit more appealing.

No, this edition doesn't come with a 16GB microSD card. It's the same 8GB microSD card.
